If You’re Stupid Your Sperm Need Swimming Lessons
Yes, smarter men have more sperm AND they swim better. So, it’s no surprise that women like successful men who are good providers.
Researchers at King’s College London, the University of Delaware and the University of New Mexico recently compared results from five intelligence tests given to 425 Vietnam War vets in 1985 as part of the U.S. Centers For Disease Control and Prevention’s Vietnam Experience Study. These vets, aged 31 to 44, also provided sperm samples, so the researchers analyzed the sperm per milliliter of semen, plus how many of the sperm swam normally, and other measures of sperm health.
The smarter the men were, the more sperm they produced and the better their wee ones swam – and it didn’t matter how old the men were or whether they smoked, drank or were obese.
By the way, I have no children. And I’m not in MENSA, either.

Actually, according to Scientific American, the special issue on evolution and the myths of creationism…there is a slight tendency for ’smarter’, or at least higher ‘achieving’ women to postpone having children until after university and/or their careers are well under way.
As well, I expect that many people who blindly follow the advice of clergy that disuade them from the use of contraception are going to, naturally, reproduce more.
In fact, this may be evidence of the human race evolving backwards, at least as far as native intelligence is concerned…

Yes even the best swimmers with a condom will produce less offspring then weak swimmers without one. The actual virility of the man is only one of many factors.

OTOH we have some women who choose lowest common denominator males to mate with. I never could understand why any self-respecting woman would settle for the wife-beater drunkard types you see on COPS.
What do I look for in a guy? Certainly not sperm count. Attractive, intelligent, good manners, good grooming. hard working, accepts responsibilities, fiscally sound. And a nice tight butt doesn’t hurt either. :-D
Um guys, the deciding factor for SOME women ( like myself) is NOT whether or not you can knock us up, its how you treat us. Any dang fool can ejaculate into a woman. It takes a MAN to care about the woman to use contraceptives is she doesn’t want to get pregnant and if she does to help take care of the offspring. Ted Haggard has a wife and five kids and now he claims to be gay. Go figure…..
