Drew Peterson’s Fiancee’s Father: “Stay Away From My Daughter”

How does this guy get the chicks? Christina Raines, a 23-year-old mother of two, has moved in with Drew Peterson, the 55-year-old former Bollingbrook, IL police sergeant who is currently a suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy. And authorities are still investigating the death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, who was found dead in an empty bathtub in 2004.
Christina’s father, Ernie, says, “It ain’t gonna happen,” and “Stay away from my daughter because she ain’t gonna be number five.”
Really, how does this Peterson guy manage to score with young, attractive women?
Didn’t they take his guns away? ie, so he DOESN’T have a big gun.

Probably the same way as guys incarcerated for life, with no possibility of parole, find women willing to marry them. They meet a need.

Echoing the sentiments of the above posters, “young and attractive” does not mean “intelligent and wise.” Far from it.
“DREW IS SO CHARMING, in an arrogant, assholish way! There’s no way he committed any crimes even though circumstantial evidence STRONGLY points to something very fishy! Tee hee!”

Erm, it also ‘kinda’ proves my earlier contention that, well, women are attracted to men with status. Which, in American culture, erm, I mean in many ‘western’ cultures, tranlates as “Celebrity”…

1. Because some people are attracted to that “celebrity” thing he has going on. I guess it doesn’t matter if he’s some crazy serial wife killer – in her mind I’m sure she sees him as a celebrity and now she’s in the spotlight as well.
2. Some people are just stupid.
3. Some people are just desperate.
4. Some people are self-destructive.
5. Some people actually enjoy conflict.

The fact that she has two children is even worse. I mean potentialy putting herself at risk for whatever the reasons is one thing. But that is just not a risk you take when you have kids.

Exactly, if she’s crazy enough to become involved with him – so be it, she’s a big girl. But to expose and endanger her defenseless children like that is another thing.

This guy does it because these women have low standards like a lot of men these days, too. Maybe they are mentally ill like Um Cara says but I don’t have a MD and I’ll go out on a limb and say she doesn’t ethier. There is strong difference between bad judgement and bad brain chemistry. No medical jargon but what I just typed is true, trust me.
This is called a cycle of destruction. This guy finds weak, young women who lack a strong self-identity and treats them real good. For a time. Then adter they walk the isle with him he gets bored and … well I can’t prove it but I think he is killing these women. Were I the father I would go beyond stay away and take it to stay away or I kill you myself. But I’d be a crazy dad.

I think most guys have had both of these friends. The one that was nice, respectful, not bad looking, and stable but could not get a girl to save his life. Then the other friend that was a rude jerk, life was a train wreck but he was full of himself and had girls throwing themselves at him.

I don’t have an MD, and if I did I’d be pretty crazy to make a diagnose based on not much (oh, and I’m not a she, I’m a dude). So, it is speculation, maybe she has no mental problems and has in fact found true love, don’t know.
But I do feel sorry for her, her kids, and her dad.

I read a lot of true crime books and why females gravitate towards people like Drew Peterson is the basis for a number of serial rapists and murderers cases. From what I can gather, yes the danger in being with a man who might be a ” bad boy” is attractive to certain women. And these women actually think that life would be exciting with a guy like that. And if the guy beats them, they think its their fault, not the abuser’s.
What this woman is thinking about Drew Peterson even when she knows his last wife is missing and he might be the murderer and worse still a previous wife of his may also have been murdered by him is beyond me. But,as they say, love is blind. Some of these guys are great con artists/charmers and they target naive women who fall for whatever they say.
Amber Frey, who fell for Scott Peterson’s lies, realized that not only did Scott lie to her about his marital relationship, he still lied to her while Laci was missing. She managed to work with police to get Scott to incriminate himself but I don’t think she realized how close she was to being murdered by him. As Scott was arrested in his vehicle were ropes and other instruments he would have used on Amber and her child during the time he was trying to lure her away to be with him.
In THIS case, the woman is IMO naive. And I do think Drew thinks he can get away with murder again.
