Barack Obama’s first formal television interview as president is with the Arabic cable channel Al-Arabiya. The network is based in Dubai and reaches more than 23 million in the Gulf region. With George Mitchell about to travel to the mideast to work on a peace agreement, Obama expressed his hope for a peaceful solution.
