Guess Who’s Not Going Away?

palin_state_e_20090127162233

Fully intent on pursuing national office in 2012, Sarah Palin has launched SarahPAC, to dole out money to Republican candidates.  Upcoming appearances include the RNC and C-PAC.  She’s hired Washington power broker Robert Barnett to work a book deal, for which she’d like $11 million, $3 million more than Hillary Clinton received for her book.  Now what could she possibly reveal that would be worth $11 million?…

Governor Rod Blagojevich of Illinois was on radio with me Monday night. Among the highlights:

  • I ask Blagojevich, “Are you nuts?”

Bush Speechwriter Already Blaming Obama For Our Next Attack

    untitled5

Marc A. Thiessen, most recently chief speechwriter for President George W. Bush, has already decided that if/when we’re attacked again it’s President Obama’s fault.  His very first sentence in a WaPo op-ed piece written two days into the new administration is already wrong.  He claims we’ve gone 2,688 days without an attack on US soil.  But US embassies have been attacked in Karachi, Tashkent, Damascus, Athens, Istanbul Yemen, Belgrade and Baghdad, and an attack on a United States embassy is tantamount to an attack on US soil.

Thiessen heralds “enhanced interrogation techniques” (a nice way of saying “torture) as having …

    Blago Speaks

Blago told Diane Sawyer his impeachment trial isn’t fair because he’s not allowed to bring witnesses.  Asked about his statements caught on tape, like “it’s a bleeping valuable seat; you just can’t give it away for nothing,” he says he can’t get into the specifics of the case.  When asked if he’s lost his political base, he responds, “Whatever happened to the presumption of innocence?”  He wants to call Rahm Emanuel, Valerie Jarrett, and Jesse Jackson, Jr. as witnesses.  He acknowledges that he considered Oprah as a choice for senator, but that “she probably wouldn’t take it.”  He also believes, …

Are This Man’s Rights Being Violated?

    300_127255

He has no criminal record.  He likes going to public places to take pictures of young girls, which he then would post to his website, which he called “the premier site of the girl-love revolution.”  Segl.info is down, but on that site Jack McClellan would rate locations like swimming pools and restaurants based on how likely they were to feature girls between the ages of 3 and 11.

McClellan, who is approximately 46 years old, has never been charged with or convicted of a sex-related crime, and denies ever having sex with a minor. He once told Fox News …

Is Google The New Big Brother?

    google-beta

That’s what Google’s next big project is, with its GDrive.  This way, you can access all  you need, on any computer, anywhere, simply by going to a particular web address.   And you wouldn’t need your own PC (or Mac) with personal information stored on your own hard drive.  This is called “cloud computing”, where the processing can be done thousands of miles away and all you need is a connection, not gigabytes of memory.  If your computer crashes or is lost, no big deal: everything is stored for you on Google’s mainframe.

The PC would be a …

Afghans Upset with Karzai And US Over Civilian Deaths

    610x

A US-led raid against Taliban militants causing more civilian deaths in Afghanistan has intensified ill feelings for both Afghan President Hamid Karzai and the United States.

The operation causing the latest controversy happened this week in eastern Laghman province. The U.S. military said on Saturday that troops, backed by air support, had killed 15 militants in an overnight operation.

Assadullah Wafa, a Karzai adviser investigating the deaths, said on Sunday that “16 civilians, many of them children and women, were killed” in the operation.

Karzai himself says bombing villages and causing civilian deaths “will not bear any …
