And authorities are still investigating the death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, who was found dead in an empty bathtub in 2004.

She’s 45 now, but it was three decades ago when she was 13 and director Roman Polanski, now 75, had sex, which led to him pleading guilty to “unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.”  After a 42-day psychiatric evaluation, Polanski fled the US, and he’s still a fugitive 30 years later.

Arab Parties Banned In Mideast “Democracy”

We often refer to Israel as the only Democracy in that part of the world.  But Israel has now banned Arab political parties from running in next month’s parliamentary elections, engendering cries of racism. 

Parliament spokesman Giora Pordes said the election committee voted overwhelmingly in favor of the motion, accusing the country’s Arab parties of incitement, supporting terrorist groups and refusing to recognize Israel’s right to exist. Arab lawmakers have traveled to some of Israel’s staunchest enemies, including Lebanon and Syria.

You may have to start buying carbon offsets.  In fact, Alex Wissner-Gross, the Harvard professor who did the study, discovered that just browsing a website uses 0.002 of CO2 per second.  Google, none too happy with the report, is striking back, saying it has the most energy efficient data centers in the world and that driving a car for a kilometer, or 0.6 miles, equates with the amount of CO2 produced by a thousand Google searaches.…

Defending The Indefensible

That’s what President Bush had to do during his final news conference.  Is it just me, or does it seem as though he can’t wait for this all to be over?  The long “exit interview” with the press was marked with flashes of anger and indignation.

He particularly became indignant when asked about America’s bruised image overseas.
