Rihanna’s father supports her reunion with Chris Brown, two weeks after he allegedly assaulted her the night before the Grammy Awards.  Ronald Fenty (right), spoke to US Magazine as his daughter was holed up over the weekend with Brown courtesy of Diddy at Sean Combs’ mansion near Miami.

Fenty says, “I love my daughter with whatever road she takes. I’m behind her win or lose. I will be supportive. If that’s the road she wants to choose, I’m behind her. I hope to see her soon. I talked to her after her birthday, and she told me she’s OK.”

Now the lovebirds are back in LA, reports TMZ.  For his part, Brown says he’s sorry “over what transpired,” adding:

“I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person.

“Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds.”

Maybe we admire Rihanna’s ethic of forgiveness, as we don’t know the whole story. Or maybe we worry about her desire to continue this relationship.
