Ted Haggard And Wife To Appear On “Divorce Court”
What’s unusual about this is that Ted and Gayle Haggard are appearing to talk about how wonderful their marriage is now that Ted has shown repentance and Gayle has found forgiveness. Their marriage survived a relationship Ted Haggard had with a male prostitute who alleged pay for play.
The Haggards say their marriage and Christian faith are stronger than ever, and they want people to know that divorce is not the answer.
“This is part of Ted’s journey,” Gayle Haggard said. “It’s made him a better man. I see what has happened as a divine rescue.”
She said she was helped through her darkest hours by the biblical principles of forgiveness, compassion and steadfastness, along with her husband’s genuine repentance.
Maybe we can all learn something from how the Haggards were able to keep their relationship together.
Mr. Haggard wondered off the path [so to speak]. Sounds like he’s going for the pulpit again. GOOD LUCK CHUMP !!!!

I think some of this can be traced back to his education and roots at Oral Roberts University. Another alumna of his is Michele Bachmann, MN06 who graduated from Oral Roberts Coburn University the year that it failed and rolled into Regents University of Monica Goodling Fame.
(You remember Jon Stewart’s “Jiffy Law”, your Law Degree in 30 minutes or the oil change is FREE”).
Michele Bachmann other than her clawing lip lock on the former President at a State of the Union, recently announced on a Chris Mattews Hardball that she thought Journalists should investigate the Congress for other anti-Americans like Barack Obama. Then of course she lied about it, saying she never said it, except for all that film and tape stuff.
SO, I think it is the Oral Roberts Education, they must not teach “Thou Shalt Not Lie”. Something like that.
Don’t forget, Ted Haggard was Bush’s 3rd Wave christianist coach, ewwwww.

Let’s see. The woman forgave her husband and is likely learning to keep forgiving Ted. Wow! Somebody has been listening to what Jesus told Peter, about forgiving his brother. “How many times shall I keep forgiving him? Seven times seven was the response.
Has Ted repented? It is not for me to judge.
I think it is great to hear stories of forgiveness and restoration. This is also a story about grace and mercy
Ted’s wife could’ve done so many other things but chose to stay in the marriage. God Bless her!!

Hillary Clinton did the same thing. She didn’t need Bill Clinton to succeed in anything. From what I understand, it may have been better if she told the media to “put a cork in it!” And, dealt with the matte privately.

So many are quick to throw stones, at anyone who is caught sinning. So many are ready to hurl words like javelins at whoever the target may be.
It is very easy to do and it is often a result of a rush to judgements and no thoughts to forgiving the person and helping such a person in the restoration process.
I recall a scene where a woman caught in adultery was brought before Jesus. They were ready to kill her. They were testing Jesus to see how he’d react. “Let him without sin, cast the fist stone.”
Guess what? Except for Jesus, there was not one who was without sin. They all left both Jesus and the woman behind. Even better, Jesus did not throw any stone. He just told the woman, “Your sin is forgiven and go and sin no more.” He was speaking about the adultery.
Tis ashame we don’t take the time to consider what is being said here. Forgive, let it go, Give it to God and keep forgiving. Easy said and not easily done all the time.

I am not a fan of Jerry Springer. This largely because of the loud theatric and unpleasant climate. “Yuck!” is my reaction.
That may not be such a bad idea! :) Because the man has a large audience, a story on forgiveness and restoration and a chance to share the gospel to those who may not otherwise hear.
It may not be the proverbial “Casting pearls before swines” as one may think.
Personally, I would say that Oprah would be a better choice as this is up her alley.

Sorry but holding up the altar of marriage when you are not into it is like a weird form of sin. You are supposed to be honest with that one person, utterly. If you can’t be honest about your sexual desires them them then you are really up the creek.

It is a heavy quote that my buddy dropped on us and you might not be really absorbing it.
Let’s try it more modern:

It’s not the quote obviously but look at it.
Are you so ‘morally’ perfect that you can judge someone who is perhaps gay or maybe sick with some disease like addiction and feel it right to call them ’scum’ or ‘trash’?
Are you so perfect in your own soul that you have any message worth anything more than a grain of sand to people in regards to Jesus and his words. I always tell people they must be crazy as a loon if they can’t hear him talking to you, everyday of our lives.
I don’t think Jesus was without sin. I have many things like that where as you hear / read what I think you will bounce to the part of the Bible that the Constitution is at odds with:

Maybe Ted’s bisexual. I think it’s great he and his wife are trying to work it out, actually. There’s a certain earnestness that’s refreshing. And really, I’m all about the underdog, usually. The guy’s repented, he doesn’t seem to be hurling stones at others these days, he’s probably learned something about humility and grown closer to God during the whole experience.
I still think it’s a shame men and women who are gay or bi- find themselves in disastrous situations like this, because they can’t live openly.
