Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and his brother Robert have been indicted on federal corruption charges.

Robert Blagojevich, who lives in Nashville, had numerous discussions that were caught on tape involving his brother’s fund-raisers, including meeting with one regarding the Senate seat appointment, according to charges.

The former governor was allegedly captured on tape telling his brother to meet with a representative of U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill). Rod Blagojevich believed the congressman’s representative had promised to raise money in exchange for an appointment, according to the charges. Once Rod Blagojevich learned the feds might be listening to his conversations, he told his brother to call off the meeting, according to the criminal complaint.
