GOP Upset Michael Steele Isn’t Name-Calling

April 23rd, 2009, 7:19 PM EDT

Republicans are angry at RNC Chair Michael Steele for failing to call President Obama and Democrats socialists. Leaders from 16 states want a debate and vote by the entire 168 member Republican National Committee.

“The threat to our country from the Obama administration cannot be underestimated,” Indiana RNC member James Bopp Jr. (right), wrote Wednesday in an e-mail to the full RNC membership. “They are proceeding pell-mell to nationalize major industries, to exponentially increase the size, power and intrusiveness of the federal government, to undermine free enterprise and free markets, to raise taxes to a confiscatory level.”

How do they get away with downright lying about what Obama is doing on taxes? But the Boppster was just getting started.

“In just a few months, the goal of the Obama administration has become clear and obvious – to restructure American society along socialist ideals,” Mr. Bopp said in summarizing the first resolution. The resolution’s chief sponsor is Washington state RNC member Jeff Kent, and it calls on the Democrats to be “truthful and honest with the American people by renaming themselves the Democrat Socialist Party.”

To cap it off, Bopp compared Democrats to the “evil empire”.

“Just as President Reagan’s identification of the Soviet Union as the ‘evil empire’ galvanized opposition to communism, we hope that the accurate depiction of the Democrats as a Socialist Party will galvanize opposition to their march to socialism,” Mr. Bopp wrote in his e-mail.

But Bopp isn’t the only nutball ruining his party.

Oregon RNC member Solomon Yue, a founder of a conservative caucus among RNC members, said, “We must refocus the public’s attention to the Democrat Party’s stampede to socialism and we must make our socialist president’s every legislative victory so costly that he will lose the war in 2010 and 2012.”

The “Republic” Party is surely in trouble.

How do they get away with downright lying about what Obama is doing on taxes

Three words for you to look into…and get back to me:

    “Cap and Trade”

Oh please. Stop listening to Limbaugh for five minutes and try to read a history textbook for once in your life.

That whole conservative radio machine depends on people like you never actually looking anything up.

And you guys never EVER do!

So it all works out perfectly for the LIARS and USELESS IDIOTS on the radio that you FOOLS swear by.

You know the tax plan … you know it well.

So do all the rest of these un-American, unpatriotic fools who ever utter the word ’socialist’ in regards to Obama.

Let them all be thrown from office, scorned in public and told to keep their unpatriotic mouths shut unless they want to make some sense.

Think of the children. We lie to each other so much these days we must be passing this along to the next generation.

The fact that Steele won’t use an inaccurate term only proves that he is not a partisan. The fact that other GOP figures want him to is proof that they are partisans.

Useless, unpatriotic conservatives rule the party these days. This is shameful.

Excellent job of diatribe…you’re getting very good at it.

But I noticed that in all of your spewing hatred for all things/people who aren’t like you or don’t think like you…you never addressed the point.

Do your homework on Obama’s Cap and Trade proposal…and then we can talk about the proposed effects.

  2. President Rush has formally sent a classified memo to his dept. of justice, prohibiting that “Mr. Steele” be
    shared with anyone else.

  3. For a idea of where “B Bopp a Lula” is coming from refer to a 1944 speech by Norman Mattoon Thomas, six time presidential candidate for the soicialist party of America. Liberalism, socialism & the Democrat. Look it up…65 years later the prophecy is coming true.

Some of us are not so intent on smearing the other guy that we wouldn’t change the meaning of national history to fit a SICK political agenda.

Go back and read that book again.

Read the part where your party tried to keep schools segregated and much more recently tried to destroy another country on a whim.

Republicanism is the same as fascism as far as I’m concerned.

And you hateful partisan morons assume to call us proud liberal Americans socialists!?!

You should hang your head in shame!

From the old man that should not have a computer…

    545 PEOPLE

-Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaigh against them.

-Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Repubicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

-Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

-You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The president does.
_You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.
-You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.
-You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

-One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices, 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country,
-I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated it’s Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

-I excluded all the special interest and lobbists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1million in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises,it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.

-Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

-What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and crticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the Speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

-It seems inconceivable that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted–by present facts–of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

-If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.
-If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red.
-If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ, it’s because they want then in IRAQ

-If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way.
-There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyist, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like” the economy, inflation, or politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
-Those 545people, and they alone, are responsible. They and they alone, have the power. They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the People who are their bosses.

-Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

WE SHOULD VOTE ALL OF THEM OUT OF OFFICE AND CLEAN UP THEIR MESS!

    BOOGIE,

I would say some republicans are that way…the rest are a bit more pragmatic and know that with all of the programs the Dems want to implement…namely universal health care…it has to be paid for somehow…guess how, my friend?

Tax the carp out of you and me…

I know Dems like to say…”but look at the tax cut for 95% of Americans!”…well, that’s great, and it’s actually been implemented. Good on Congress for doing something productive in the last 100 days…

HOWEVER, they have also passed the largest commodity tax in recent history (sin tax)…thereby making the extra $16 a paycheck a moot point.

Also, the proposed “cap and trade” initiative has been discussed at length…and the proposed tax impact on every day Americans will be more than $1800/year – and that’s a conservative estimate. Obama’s own deputy director for economics has said that figure could be closer to 3x that amount.

My point being…for all of the promises of a new day dawning and the revolutionary social programs the Dems are proposing, you and I will end up paying for it…and big time.

The Republicans, from what I understand, have been actively providing alternatives for consideration, but with no avail: tax cut for individuals and families; tax free unemployment benefits; tax cuts for small business; home buyer tax credit; no-new-taxes…

    This is a great point.

The money has to come from somewhere.

But don’t forget our national history.

We had this same talk in this same fashion right before the Iraq War.

And people like Alan and I asked the unpopular question: “What will this cost?”

And crazed neo-cons jumped up and said that such things didn’t matter as much as addressing the problem immediately.

Well, this is similar. We have to move on fixing the economy. No time for ‘conservative thought’ to lead the way. You guys failed and failed horribly.

So we do our social programs and you all need to shut up because your love for wars is the real reason we are broke as a nation.

    Not Obama. Not any Democrat.

Your bloodlust. That’s were the money went. Deep into the Iron Triangle and a little to Blackwater on the side.

    Not any Democrat.

    hahahahahaha…hooohooo….!!!! What a joke!

So, ERIC, you’re telling me not one Dem voted for Bush’s budgets? Not one voted in favor of his defense spending? Not one Dem voted for war spending?

    EricG Reply:

They made the budget. The way how Congress works doesn’t let you just keep withholding votes without losing power in turn. A Democrat who voted against every INSANE Bush budget would have been out the door before the PEOPLE took the fools out.

“Do you ever get tired of pushing left-wing soundbites?”

Not really. It’s fun. But more importantly is that the neo-con, FOX whatever you guys over there do … thing … is nothing but an insult to American History and American Civics just day after day. It’s disgusting.

At least the lefty loonies drop down science and political fact instead of political slant.

Deregulation is ONE of many causes of what we sit in now. I was talking about the budget, not the economy.

Did we switch topics? Because that’s a whole can of worms to try to figure out what happened to our markets.

    That’s not this discussion.

I was saying that the deficit is so high that no matter how perfect an Obama policy might be the damage left by former Bush policies may be so extensive that no amount of action can repair the matter.

So who is going to be held responsible for this? Nobody? That sounds like Bush Accountability to me.

    JaredfromTexas Reply:

    ERIC,

So you were wrong in saying “Not one Democrat” was responsible for the state our country is currently in? Thanks for clearing that up.

Really??? The budget doesn’t affect the economy? Really??? Spending billions on bailouts doesn’t affect both? Really??? Raising taxes to supplement the budget doesn’t affect the economy? Really???

At least the lefty loonies drop down science and political fact instead of political slant.

Another high-quality gem…I’ll have to keep this one in my back pocket…

News flash…EVERYONE has an agenda…even your precious Dems.

Oh, that we could all be Scandinavians – and rely on that other country, the United States of America, to be our military might and protector against fascism, communism, and terrorism. Bless those Americans; their strength means the Scandinavians (and fellow Europeans) don’t have to spend much on their own military. This man is an internationalist. This man believes that our Founding Fathers erred when they only wrote about limits of the powers of the federal government in the Constitution. Not true. I was against the scope and size of the Bush Bailouts but not the actual moneys themselves. I don’t like this style of fiscal policy but having economic ideologies is all nice and fine until the bank is broke … then it’s time to get real.

Obama has done no amount of ‘madness.’ The money is directed and easily trackable by any American interested.

The Bush money is not so transparent and like I said in 2008 it placed too much power in the hands of Paulson. The new packages have been HUGE, no doubt, but also more efficient spending.

The sooner we can stop doing this the better. This stimulus stuff is a lot like government-economic crack. This is not lost on your typical liberal even though we support a economic intervention by the govt into the market.

They can’t. Or rather they shouldn’t without executive approval. This becomes a legal issue very quickly. The money was not given to them by this government or this Secretary so we have a strange situation for the TARP money people.

I think it wise that Obama denied the money. It could be a legal nightmare that would hamper progress in economic recovery.

Like I said … I;m out of my expertise on this, way out.

Even the people who taught me these values don’t live up to them. I don’t think any but the smallest number of Christians even listen to his words on this topic.

It’s not ‘fun’ to learn that your career will never make you happy. Also that’s a slap in the face to whatever the “American Dream” is exactly.

Also being anti-war, anti-torture and anti-fascism is also coming from my belief in Jesus.

And yet these so-called Christians on FOX (like O’Reilly) claim the opposite to be true for the sake of political connivence.

The words of Jesus would be called ’socialist’ by the majority of Republicans today and frankly the Democrats would welcome him into the fold.

So which party is more ‘Christ-like’?

How do you think a business stays in business Rocky? If you said profits then you get a gold star. I know you libs hate business and profits but how often do you turn your paycheck over to your employer or better yet, why don’t you give your beloved bloated government your check. You seem to go by the slogan “In Government We Trust”.

NEVER TRUST YOUR GOVERNMENT. GOVERNMENTS ARE INHERENTLY EVIL IF LEFT UNCHECKED.

    EricG Reply:

Well your an Anarchist or a Libertarian but certainly not a Republican. You do know that, don’t you?

    “NEVER TRUST YOUR GOVERNMENT”

That’s anarchism right there. Nothing wrong with it but please stop voting if your an anarchist. That’s got people laughing at you if anyone out there is doing that.

“I know you libs hate business and profits but how often do you turn your paycheck over to your employer or better yet, why don’t you give your beloved bloated government your check”

Sure, that makes sense. In wacko-land. Didn’t I complain about not having a paycheck in my post? Maybe I’m a capitalist. Maybe.

I don’t want more money so I can spend it on me. I want more money so I can spend it on others.

I would give my money to a government I trusted to spend it correctly and also to an employer worthy of trust.

I don’t understand how cons get so paranoid that they feel NOBODY can be trusted except themselves.

As if I want the government to take charge of my life and money.

I don’t trust people like you to help the community, is the real issue.

You’re off hoarding guns or whatever and we are trying to get your kids educated so they don’t break into cars for a living ….

    ERIC,

    “NEVER TRUST YOUR GOVERNMENT”

distrusting your government is anarchism…where the “H” did that come from???

Look up the definition of anarchism…and get back to me.

Oh..and it’s hilarious you would say:

I would give my money to a government I trusted to spend it correctly…

    But then say:

As if I want the government to take charge of my life and money.

    Are you tired or something?

  13. Here’s one for you Rocky.

The Pentagon announced todayit is forming an elite fighting unit made up of us mainly Southern Boys the USRSF(United States Redneck Special Forces) vs the Somalia pirates. Here is what we we told at the briefing:
    1. The season opened today
    2. There is no limit
    3. They taste just like chicken
    4. They don’t like beer, pickups, country music, or Jesus.
5.They are directly respnosible for the death of Dale Earnhardt.

    I’ll be back on Sunday.

    EricG Reply:

Sounds like a racist lynch mob.

    Are they going to DC?

Maybe string one up for the ‘good old days’?

You should go with them, RDM.

I’d love to see you tackled to ground on the White House lawn and thrown into a paddy wagon while screaming about ‘Barry’, ‘Obeyme’ and this unpatriotic drivel you spread.

Go suck a tailpipe. Sunday is too soon.

Why you old beatnick DADDIO. Does this meam we are not friends? I don’t think I could stan it if we weren’t friends.

    Daddio Reply:

Right on RDM. Actually I grew up during the sixties. Sorta liberal at the time. Wised up a few years later and moved right.

All is groovy here. How bout your neck of the woods?

  14. Daddio, it’s groovy in my neck of the woods. The more I read comments from Eric G he’s starting to sound more & more like someone I’ve heard preaching from Chicago. He brings up the KKK almost daily? HMMMM, maybe he’s the Rev Jerimiah G?

Oh just getting sick of the other side getting sick. Barf-bag America is what we get these days.

As if I enjoy bringing up race every two seconds.

As if I enjoy being privy to some of the most un-historically accurate statements I’ve ever heard as of recent weeks.

I go over the top, it’s true.

But not one conservative will be a man and be a straight talker. All weasels jumping around the issues so it makes it hard to be a respectful debater in any format.

I apologized for my crud so many times.

Let’s see one major Neo-con come foreword and apologize for bringing us Iraq, Gitmo and the recession.

All cowards. No integrity in the whole lot. You guys here on chat streams, blogs and just people on the street are different.

Your not all the same, obviously. But it remains an issue even here in Liberaland.
