Prejean: Racy Photos Taken When Wind Accidentally Blew My Way
At the Tuesday presser, the reprieved Miss California blamed the photographer for the topless photos that were just made public, saying it’s “appalling that a professional photographer would violate my trust by releasing an unauthorized and inappropriate image taken in-between posed shots, on a windy day, which I was unaware of.”
“I was actually standing on a cliff and it was very very windy,” Prejean explained, “and he had to have gotten some shot of me where I was exposed.” When asked why she didn’t tell the pageant, as required, that she had posed semi-nude, she replied, “Do you remember what you did when you were 16?” Well, no, but I do think most of us could distinctly recall if there was a suggestive photo shoot around the time braces were coming off.
Does the photo above look like a posed shot or one taken “in between posed shots”? We are to believe that she’s out doing a photo shoot wearing only an unbuttoned vest on top, with a photographer and who knows who else around. She had no intention of showing much skin, but the wind just happened to come along and reveal her nipples at the exact moment the photographer took unauthorized photos.
As TMZ, which has the photos, points out, the newly-released shots, which show more than the ones taken when she was 17, were done when she was well above age, and not when she was an innocent teen who didn’t know what she was doing.
Again, I don’t care that she keeps her crown. But the conservatives embracing Ms. Prejean wouldn’t be rallying around her if a liberal, pro-gay marriage beauty contestant had these explanations of semi-nude photos. We’d be hearing lectures about how “liberal values” were driving this country over a moral cliff, and that with Barack Obama in office, it’s just the beginning of a precipitous moral decline.
The photographer is counting his money right now that TMZ gave him.
And that picture is hot!

Flap: Alan, do you honestly believe that conservatives approve of this? Her support will not be as high as it was, in my opinion. And by the way, I don’t think conservatives are rallying around HER so much as rallying around her reasonable (and fairly widespread) belief that marriage should be only between a man and a woman. She got slammed for it, conservatives defended her, and now everyone is trying to find her dirty laundry.
And she has dirty laundry, obviously. Apparently she hasn’t worn enough laundry…part of the problem. *rimshot*

I come to this site to get differing perspectives on various topics…but to hound a specific topic on a daily basis gets a bit old. Just my dos pesos…the only reason why this remains a topic of discussion is because liberals find it amusing…fake boobies and all (not that there’s anything wrong with that).

Your complaint is not valid. Everyone (including me) wrote at least one blog about Prejean and Hilton. Alan is a pro. Thus he does many posts on something that is big like this Prejean thing.

I can’t believe I come out of lurking to discuss implants.
From what I read, the implants were relatively recent. The reason it was a story was that the California Miss USA pageant paid for the procedure. I believe pictures seen here are pre-implant. Check out a recent picture of her (http://blog.cleveland.com/ent_impact_people/2009/05/medium_miss-swisuit.jpg) and note the difference.

Yes, Boogieman. And where her hair COULD appear to be affected by the wind, it’s pushed to the right across her face, and such directional wind should have helped the vest to cover rather than expose her left breast. But I’m doubtful that wearing such a small tight vest could have effectively covered Ms. Prejean’s chest under any conditions.

I took a look at the TMZ images.
If you look for it you’ll notice that in most of them the model is standing with the sun at her back. And yet her front is clearly illuminated, and in some shots brightly illuminated. And yet no matter how closely I zoom in I’m not seeing a photographer’s light source reflected in the model’s eyes.
So I’m wondering if the light source may have been Photoshopped in.
OK, actually I’m wondering if the model may have been photographed in a studio and Photoshopped into the images of the sun, sea and shore.
And, in any case, I may not remember many things from when I was 16, but I’d sure remember posing nude for a photographer.

K: I don’t think her breach of contract is ‘better’ or ‘worse’ than the student’s. I think she should have had her title taken away for breach of contract. The points in the contract were apparently clear and unambiguous. In fact, take her boobs away, too, since the pageant paid for them. She obviously lied about racy pics and so should suffer the consequences…

She broke the contract and she takes the consequence, no exceptions. If any one of us broke a contract we would face every consequence for it.

The ‘rules’ and how they are enforced is much stricter in the Miss America contests.
Miss Universe apparently has some ‘wiggle’ room as far as contract violations.
As it is, she’s now getting more attention and publicity that otherewise possible.
