Right Wing Site Selling “Liberal Hunting Sticker”
Can you imagine the outcry if, in the wake of left-wing lunatics shooting people in a series of incidents, a liberal web site were to promote stickers denoting the shooting of conservatives? It would be all over every talk show. Thanks to Mike Finnigan, I saw that the Patriot Shop is selling a “Liberal Hunting Sticker.” And don’t forget the “No Bag Limit” and “Tagging Not Required” features.

This is part of an site called the Patriot Post, whose staff and board of directors are happy to tell you their “weapon(s) of choice” as part of their bios. Escalating right-wing violence by those who claim hatred of liberals might cause a responsible person to take stock of what he or she is doing. Sara Robinson chronicles the politically fueled violence that’s taken place in the short time since Obama took office.

My boss has one of those.
It’s gotta be hard for you on the right.
The nuts are dragging you guys along for the ride.
The whole guilt by association crap and all.
Kinda like Bill Ayers.
How do you dance around stuff like this.

If you click on the Sara Robinson thing it has a clip of Fox news. Shepard Smith seems pretty fair. Smith also got my attention with his anti-torture stance earlier this year. Interesting.

And the left wing shirt showing a bullethole though Bush’s head is just fine.

Very true Hhhhha,
there are nuts on both ends.
But remember, liberals are less likely to be armed and dangerous. After all, we are bleeding hearts and peacemongers.

Check out “Huffington Post”–”Sheppard Smith email” post.
The radical right is being worked into a frenzy.
Hey, what can I say, it’s on Fox.

James, you are the most sensible liberal here, in my opinion. You actually see the wackos on both sides. I respect you for that.
What late night show was that that had Bush speaking and put his head in the cross hairs of a rifle scope? Was that Conan? Liberals sure had a good laugh over that.

I like your post. Eco-terrorist that remain under the radar for some odd reason. The uni-bomber. The Black Panthers and a few other groups.
In my opinion and i hope this would never happen. If some1 harm the president. Left wing radicals would come out of the wood works in full rage.
At 54 and soon to be 55,the 60,s was full of rage from the left and right. Some people view the 60,s as a great time. I view the 60,s as being the most unstable times in American history in my lifetime.

Steve,
Thanks, I enjoy discussions with you very much. You, along with James and a few more here have the ability to see the fact that both the left and right have their wackos and that those wackos do not represent the majority of those on either side of the aisle.
I agree with your assessment of the 60’s. It was a very turbulent time in America’s history. But it also was a good time too. Many good things happened too. You are only about seven months older than I am. So we both can remember those times. I lived in a very small town then and we didn’t see any trouble there, only on the news. I had a great life in that small town. But I also established my political views there also. Mostly from my Dad and also from watching the political movements of that time. The riots and protests and drugs really pushed me more to the right. I perceived them to be more from the left and I thought that their behavior was bad for our country.

It’s worth pointing out that the Patriot Shop is domiciled in Tennessee.
Some of their guidebooks are also “interesting” …
Mastering Anger: Many see anger as a feeling that is contradictory to their faith and “walk in the Spirit,” but the Bible presents some clear principles on how to manage anger.
Gender Identity — The Homosexual Agenda and the Christian Response: The Christian family is currently under assault from many quarters, one of the most menacing being the challenge to traditional sexual morality.
The Politically Incorrect Guide to the South (and Why It Will Rise Again): “The South is all about memory, heritage, and pride of place,” writes Clint Johnson. “I refuse to go along with the expunging of that memory, heritage, and pride, and I hope the readers of this book, Northern and Southern, will rise up and join me in protesting those who are trying to do it.”
The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Great Depression and the New Deal: … the untold story behind the New Deal—how it operated by force, and why what’s really at stake is not only our economy but our liberty.
Did I forget to mention these people are based in Tennessee?
YeeHawww!!! The South shall rise again!!! The War of Northern Aggression will not go unanswered!!!

Add it all up.
Liberals came down on their own kind in the Bush-Bashing times.
What conservative is showing any amount of respectability and intelligence?
Seems to me they enjoy this kind of stuff. They don’t mind being the Party of Violence. It seems to suit them just fine.

Eric,
Some, maybe even most of us on the left did try to calm the radical liberals. I know that I did not like the constant beating of the ‘Bush is an idiot’ drum. Actually I kinda like him(seems very real and unpretentious), while disagreeing wholeheartedly with most of his actions. Unfortunately for all of us, I believe he was absolutely horrible for our country. That is now in the past and forward is the direction to go, although some accountability is in order.
There seem few on the right who call out for civility. The loud just seem to be getting louder and the hatred appears to be coming to a boil. I hope it doesn’t get a lot worse.
I would say that ’some’ don’t mind being the party of violence. It seems to fit ’some’ just fine.

I’ll just quote myself.
“It absolutely is just the tip of the iceberg, which is more than amply demonstrated by the fact that all the worst violence comes from the radical rightwing extremists who have no regard for the law or for the lives of anyone outside their evil little anti-American cabals.”

I saw what I thought was a funny bumper sticker in the 1990’s. It had a head shot of Bill and Hillary and beside it it said “Dual Air Bags”

I saw one that had Bush, Cheney and Rummy with the caption, “Empty War Heads”.
Not funny, because it’s tragic.

In my youth I was a Democrat for a while during the 60’s. Viet Nam changed my opinion of the liberal point of view.
I became a realist.
Still don’t like mumus, oversized T- shirts, tube tops, or lava lamps but do enjoy dancing to Wooly Bully.

Actually, many liberals believe THEY are the realists.
Viet Nam changed my opinion of the government’s ability to live up to Eisenhower’s warning about the military industrial complex.

That’s why we have to be skeptical of the the most important issue….war, and not follow blindly like we have been asked to do in the past.

Nukes changed my opinion when i join the Navy in July of 73. They told me the world could be killed over a 100 times or more.
I am for a strong military, but Ike,s words are true. Our nation went a weapons frenzy and law makers took full advantage in pork barrel funds.
I lost faith in the GOP for that reason and allowing dixiecrats to take over the party as well.

I was a staunch republican and, even though I was too young to vote, I liked Nixon. I still like Nixon. Because the war ended under his watch and he did away with the draft, the Watergate thing is so trivial. Bush/Cheney were indeed “worse than Watergate”.
And my brother served in VietNam. His battle experience stories changed my opinion on war forever.

TDro,
I have a similar view of Nixon. He got us out. My folks liked him and I was pretty young, but in his later years especially, he was quite the statesman.
I literally dodged the bullet of Vietnam, too young.
Spiro Agnew, now there was a piece of work.

Its not hard to figure that the gop is being led by the christian right these days. Im in the middle when it comes to most issues. The right doesnt seem to want my vote, they could use it for sure. I cant think of a scenerio how they could win me over as long as the ‘good people’ control their party.
I have a simple litmus test, Evolutionist or Creationist.
