Anti-Letterman Protestors Blast His Young Son And His Wife
Those who were upset with David Letterman because of what they perceived as attacks on Sarah Palin’s underage daughter, the ones who felt the need to defend Governor Palin and her family, used their protest to attack David Letterman and his family.
The fifteen protesters were outnumbered by the 35 media members. Videographer Jonah Green talked to some of these fine upholders of family values, who didn’t quite live up to Gandhi’s “Be the change you want to see in the world” mantra. Among their bon mots:
- “Should we talk about his son; I believe his son was born out of wedlock; I believe there’s a term for that.”
- “He has a bastard son and a slut for a wife.”
- “(Letterman) is a child abuser; he is a verbal pedophile. Wake up; come and take care of your kids; they could be next!”

Why shouldn’t they attack littleman? He used a national TV show to denigrate a young girl, they are using 15 people in a protest to respond. Both are expressions of free speech and are protected. In fact, I declare them all ‘comedians’ so they can go ‘over the line’ any time they want with impunity.

From everything thing I’ve heard his wife is a lovely and decent woman. They were together for a very long time and had a child together before they decided to marry (decisions I don’t support) but I wouldn’t go so far as to call his child a bastard or his wife a slut.
That lady in the video is a b**** however.

This is all to distract us from the efforts of the radical rightwing republikkkans to destroy any chance of a comprehensive universal health care bill getting through congress—because their good pals, the degenerate self-serving capitalists in pharmaceuticals and insurance, would rather sooner the US collapse than to surrender one dollar of their profits.

By the way, I am the biggest conspiracy nut on Liberaland. Hands down.
Don’t you know? You didn’t hear?
The entire Neo-Con Movement was created by corporate American interests to try and stem the flow of social justice and provision of equal labor rights to poor Americans at the same time to balancede against the ‘new-new left’ found in the Clinton years and now once again in the Obama years.
A corporate board made up these ideals and knowing changing the nature of TRUE conservatism into a perverse and insane nationalist dialogue with pangings of theocracy throughout.
The return of the Crusades is the ultimate goal. They seek to purify the gene-pool of all non-whites and first and foremost destroy all arabic culture and religion.

And to tell me because I am a conservative that I am not an American…well, all I can say is that statement reflects poorly on you. Because you are a partisan liberal does not make you un-American Eric.

Well I don’t try to agree away from that point.
And I thank you for your straight-forward comments, however I might disagree with them.
I can’t say I have anything against anyone here on the ground floor of politics. Leaders and media figures who cross lines earn my ire but in terms of the everyday people I never have anything personal against them, ever.
I am a radical.
But it i unfortunate that it is so.
(My theory is false but exactly as true as anything Alex Jones, for example, explains to his audience as ‘fact.’)
It is a shame that equal rights, civil liberties, freedom of and from religion, justice for all, freedom of speech and anti-violence all fall into a category of ‘radical.’ But it is so.
I fine with this label. I’m a radial. Call me a liberal, that’s what I’d perfer but the other label fits too.
—
I think I’ve mentioned before that if I sit and ‘cool down’ for awhile before blogging / commenting I don’t engage in the same levels of partisanship but my message is exactly the same.
So I chalk it up to passion, myself. This is why I’ll listen to the other side of radio and TV. Sometimes (rarely) you can see they are not moronic but simply passionate about whatever they are saying.
Can’t say I agree but I respet those wo are not feeding a line and giving me their real point of view. That’ being an American, in my view.

You just repeated exactly what Jerome Corsi said on the air. To the letter.
Do you know that?
Do you even remember who gave you this theory? This BS anti-American & anti-democracy theory was started by right wingers trying to get him out of office before he even got in.
The fact that you and many others choose to believe these falsehoods is not a good sign.
You have allowed yourself to bought off by propaganda or you know nothing of the nation in which you live.
Both are pretty bad.
If you are so easily tricked then all a foreign country has to do is plant propaganda in our media and you’ll carry out the invasion for them. You’ll start a ‘tea party’ except you’d never know it was Russia sending the checks. Think about it. You got to me smart if you want to defend this nation. Being a fool gets more people than just yourself hurt in the process.
or…
If you really can’t figure out that you can’t get past the BAR in any state, nor into the Senate without full background checks and proof of citizenship, many times over.
Your whole theory requires THOUSANDS of people all working together in different branches of the government and different hospitals all to make sure that one man is given a chance, not a guarante, but a mere chance at the White House.
This is not about the Constitution and to say as much only proves you have allowed yourself to become fixed into one thinking on this issue so when a credible journalist does a piece you rject it but when an unamerican loser does a rant on it you believe it.
I want you to publish your birth certificate and all your medical records as well. You have to.
You have no choice.
You can’t be approved by the same examinations as everyone else in all the country.
You have to be disclosing everything I demand! Or I will call you a China-man!

Seriously though, it’s been checked out and debunke and people like you just don’ want to hear facts if they make all these losers on the radio into a bunch of unamerican, unpatroitic jokers. Because that’s what many conservatives are these days. It’s a shame.

“Anti Letterman Protestors Blast His Young Son and His Wife”–Alan Colmes.
…………………………
I’m sure he’s grateful for the boost in the ratings he’s getting from the protesters.
We might be seeing a once in 30 years seminal moment in Iran, and we are still talking about Palin/Letterman….STILL??? REALLY???
No wonder we are in such a mess.

Hey, your fellow liberal, Alan Colmes keeps bringing it up. Maybe you ought to call him and express your thoughts on this.

Are you accusing Alan of contributing to our mess?

I don’t stay up late enough for his show, I’m sure he would say it’s the callers driving the topic.
I was stunned when I heard Monday’s show, on Tuesday, and even after the events of the weekend, and STILL this celebrity, tabloid nonsense….
And conservative or liberal radio and TV is STILL just about nothing but delivering listeners and viewers to advertisers.

Maybe we should all just snub this topic whenever Alan brings it up again.

Lefty, you know I think I agree with what you wrote above about Iran at 8:13 AM. :)

JFA,
If it goes well in Iran, I hate for people to say, “Gee, I wish I had paid attention at the time.”
If it doesn’t go well, (for the people), I fear those leading this revolution will be arrested and suffer the old “fall down the stairs”.
At any event, this is something that happens very rarely.

Lefty, I do agree with you and I also think that the USA not making an official big deal about might in the long run be a good also. Your thoughts please. :)

JFA,
I agree.
The last thing we need is for Mousavi to be seen as an American puppet.
I think this is the kind of grass roots fight for democracy that can be really exciting.

JFA,
I’m done for awhile….As for Iran, let’s hope for the best.
As I say, I fear some may regret not watching this play out, because it could be amazing, but no matter which way it goes, we know that a big chuck of Iranians are sick of the old system and are not with Ahmadinejad.
I particularly love the way they get their message out to the world in spite of the crackdown.
Oh well, dirty dishes call.

And, for all we know, the election could be valid.

Then it’s even more important that we stay out of it.
No matter what, it could still be another revolution.

You are right. Staying away seems to be, at least, not a bad thing.
