Jon & Kate Plus Divorce Papers
I could never understand why people would want their personal lives splayed all over television. Narcissism, maybe? People magazine discovered that divorce papers were filed Monday in Pennsylvania to end the 10-year marriage of Jon and Kate Gosselin.
Fans who have watched the couple’s popular TLC show – or read the voluminous coverage of the Gosselin marriage in the press – will hardly be surprised: The duo had long maintained a tense relationship, with Jon recently telling PEOPLE he wanted a less high-profile life, while Kate appeared to remain committed to their TV career.
In February, photos surfaced of Jon in the company of young women during a solo visit to see his mother, who was recuperating from surgery, in Huntingdon, Pa. The couple quickly attempted to quash rumors of problems. But in May, the scandal erupted again when 23-year-old Deanna Hummel was photographed driving Jon’s car home from a bar late at night.
When they talk about how everything is for the good of the kids, does that include their television show?
O’reilly @ Fox News thinks this show is an obscene outrage. Mostly because of what O’reilly labels as child exploitation.
WHAT?
Another Fox News genius believes these children are actors and could be destined for a life of drugs murder and crime like a lot of other child stars.
WHAT?
These children are not television stars. They are children on television.
I would be willing to bet anyone at Fox News that in a couple of years these children, like the show, will most likely fade into obscurity.
If the children fall into a life of crime, drugs or acting, it won’t be because of this television show.
Calm down Mr. O’reilly, it’s only another forgettable TV show. Save your putrid anger for the female gender you bully and needlessly provoke with your Fox News nonsense.

You seem to watch a lot of Fox… I don’t blame you. Most of the rest is crap.
What is your beef? Most of the reality shows are human life at it’s lowest (those on Fox as well).
Are you positing that these are quality shows?
Are you suggesting that he doesn’t, like you, have a right to comment?
Are you trying to make the argument that these shows do not effect the people who participate in them?
If not, then you ought to leave your obtuse personal attacks where they are relevant.

I don’t know that I’d worry too much about the kids.
Remember Newt, the little girl in the movie Aliens? It turns out the “actress” appeared in that one film only, and these days she’s all grown up, married to a cop, and teaching school.
I suspect that Hollywood, or “fame and fortune,” is a lot like video games. It doesn’t make or break character, but just reveals it.

I feel bad for them. It’s sad when a family breaks up. However I’ve only seen one episode, 2 years ago, and this was predictable.
Jon is a lazy sack of crap (and the poster child of implosive anger issues) and Kate is a B****.(and I mean that in the nicest way possible) They never should have brought 1 child into this world let alone 8.
