The woman with whom South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford had an affair speaks like an aggrieved party because of “certain incorrect things that are being spread worldwide” and causing “great pain to me…my two children, my family….” Among other things, she writes:
1. I won’t speak about my private life as it just belongs to me. It has already been made too public during these last days, bringing to me even more pain.
Yes, that can happen when you have an affair with a married United States governor.

Especially considering it’s populace has an insatiable appetite for base voyeuristic stimulation, and a media all too anxious to provide it (yea, you are part of the problem, Alan).

Other than the recent shocking heterosexual trend of Family Values Republicans, isn’t the real issue WHY our American Ho’s aren’t good enough for soon to be ex-Gov Sanford?
David Diapers Vitters is leading the pack in this regard. Don’t get me wrong, he’s total scum but Louisiana doesn’t seem to care. His only current contender is Stormy Daniels an Honest Sex Worker and Movie Producer who has the high ground but is a long shot.

Really, you folks are right; when you make a series of bad decisions there are consequences. I can empathize with Ms Chapur because I don’t like the consequences to my bad decisions, but she needs to face the music.

She was an aggrieved party, somebody hacked into her email and released it to the press. I too would feel like an aggrieved party.
The vast majority of this statement was made to correct the record with regards to who leaked the emails. Apparently a friend of hers had been accused of doing it, and she was trying to clear her friend’s name in the matter.
She says she knows who did it, but cannot prove it legally, and will thus not reveal the name.

As said, she is absolutely equally culpable in the affair, but her private emails should never have been released to the public.

There are many ‘facts of life’ that aren’t right, which I speak out against.
With regards to Señora Chapur:
- she has been labeled a whore
- she has been accused of ‘being after a green card’
- her private correspondence has been stolen and published
All of that is disgusting, and in my opinion, right thinking people should speak out against it rather than participate, or excuse it.
She and the Governor were apparently involved in an apparently sincere love affair, one which should not have started. They definitely failed morally with regards to the infidelity, something more than half of Americans have also done.
That in no way excuses the bizarre fascination with the very personal details of the affair that the American people have. The governor has encouraged this with his freaky too much information press conferences. Señora Chapur, by contrast, has been far more dignified – and has only spoken out once – and then it was primarily to speak against rumors that a friend of hers had released the emails.
