Does Obama Get Paid Enough?

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg says President Obama doesn’t get paid much.

As president, Mr. Obama earns $400,000 a year. He has a $50,000 expense account, a $100,000 nontaxable travel account and a $19,000 entertainment budget.

Mr. Obama’s total compensation package: $569,000 a year.

That is 11 times the median household income in the United States, which is about $50,000.

But then, Mayor Bloomberg makes only a dollar a year.…

Roeder Defender: “Christian Scripture…Would Support this”

Dave Leach, who runs an anti-abortion news letter to which the suspected George Tiller killer contributed, defends his actions. Scott Roeder (right, in custody) was a subscriber and contributor to Leach’s “Prayer and Action News.”

Mr. Leach said he and Mr. Roeder had met once, and Mr. Roeder had described similar views to his own. Of Dr. Tiller’s death, Mr. Leach said, “To call this a crime is too simplistic,” adding, “There is Christian scripture that would support this.”

George Tiller: American Hero

George Tiller was a hero to many because of his perseverence in a climate of fear and intimidation.

Tiller, 67, was killed with a single gunshot while his wife and daughter were also in the church. Scott Roeder, a 51-year-old Kansas man with a history of strong anti-abortion views, was arrested hours later. Police said Sunday that Roeder is expected to be charged today with one count of homicide and two counts of aggravated assault.
