One of the huge failings of BushCo was their policy of holding detainees indefinitely with no trials.  Word is that the Obama administration is preparing an executive order that would do the same thing.

Former GOP Mayor Arrested For Indecency

Mark Musselwhite, the former mayor of Gainesville, GA, was booked on a”pubic indecency” misdemeanor charge after campers complained about a nude man waking around.

 

Ranger Brandon Walls wrote that Musselwhite appeared intoxicated and didn’t see anything wrong with being nude.


He told the ranger he’d just been swimming in a nearby creek and was hot.

 

Ranger Walls said Musselwhite put on some shorts when asked to get dressed, but he also became belligerent.

South Carolina’s governor continues to quote the Bible as he travels on his road to redemption.


The Republican governor, apologizing to state agency chiefs today for keeping them in the dark when he left for Buenos Aires for a rendezvous with his lover, told the Palmetto State’s Cabinet that King David will offer a guiding path for him.

 

King David fell mightily, the governor reminded his Cabinet, but picked up the pieces and built from there.

Let’s Not Forget The Two Americans In North Korea

Current TV reporters Euna Lee (left) and Laura Ling (right) must not be forgotten with all the other issues taking our attention.  They just welcomed their first visitor since being incarcerated, Mats Foyer, the Swedish ambassadodr to North Korea.


His meeting with Euna Lee and Laura Ling was the first since the pair were jailed for 12 years in a labour camp for entering the country illegally.


The two women were also reportedly allowed to call their US-based husbands on Sunday.

Did Michael Jackson OD On Demerol?

Michael Jackson’s doctor is talking to authorities. Dr. Conrad Murray, a Houston-based physician, was living at Jackson’s home and reportedly was with him at the time he went into cardiac arrest.


TMZ is highlighting that a shot of Demerol may have caused Jackson’s death and that he received the morphine-like drug at 11:30AM Thursday. Family patriarch Joe Jackson wanted to put his son into rehab for drug addiction, says TMZ.


Family members say they felt he was unable to perform for his upcoming concerts because of his drug use.
