Sanford Takes Trip, This Time Brings Family

July 3rd, 2009, 12:45 PM EDT

Barbecue weekend with the Sanfords will be in Florida, as the South Carolina governor takes the family with him this time.  Even security detail got into the act.

Nothing like a little r&r after a tough week of soulmate-longing, story-changing, confessions of line-crossing and trying to fall back in love with your wife.

  1. I’m sorry, I can’t get past the title… “… this time brings family”.

    LOL.

When I’m done laughing, I’ll read the article and offer up a comment on the content.

  2. Thanks Alan,
I Really appreciate the attention that you are giving to this drama.
A Christian Family Values Republican (see WONDERFUL 33 second clip below) in a struggle to defeat Satan, give up his spicy Arentine soulmate, AND get back on that short list of Republican Presidential Contenders. TGIF!

Oh, sorry, AND fall back in love with wife and his 4 sons he abandoned, along with his state, over Father’s day.

How about some TIGF non-biblican/biblical quotes?

“That which does not kill me makes me harder, I mean stronger.”

    “Jesus wept”. John 11:35

  3. I think Alan is either in love with Sanford or jealous of him. Maybe Alan is just obsessed with him.

I think Alan sees in Sanford an opportunity to “get even” with those who went after Bill Clinton over Monica Lewinsky and her harmonica playing……..

Revenge is a dish best served “cold”, and Alan has expressed a fondness for ice cream.

    Hmmm…….

Rather, a fondness for exposing hypocrisy from conservatives.

    Hmmmmm….

  4. Will he cross the line this time?

  5. Hey, it’s Friday and 6:30PM right now. So are they in love yet?

Hahahahaha,no ! Trying to woo his wife.

  6. This just in, Mark Sanford had spicy enchiladas, followed by a rushed visit to the restroom, where he reportedly used his right…that’s correct…his RIGHT hand to wipe is butt.

Really Alan? this is quickly descending into a colossal waste of talent.

Between this and the 3 consecutive posts of Palin resigning…two of which gave us no real new information, I’m beginning to wonder about Alan.

  7. From Publisher’s Weekly:

“South Carolina governor Mark Sanford, whose extramarital affair, after becoming front page news, threatened his political career (and his marriage), has now lost his book deal. Sanford is no longer doing the book that conservative Penguin imprint Sentinel had planned to publish in 2010. A statement from the publisher said Sanford’s forthcoming Within Our Means, a book about “fiscal conservatism,” has been canceled.”

Funny we don’t hear too much about Ensign anymore. Could it be Sanford is relishing all this attention?
