Nat. Security Advisor Says Obama WH Better At Capturing Terrorists

439px-James_L._Jones

National Security Adviser, General Jim Jones, responding to Dick Cheney’s attempt to save his legacy, says more terrorists are being put out of commission with Obama in the White House, largely because of his success with international relations.

“This type of radical fundamentalism or terrorism is a threat not only to the United States but to the global community,” Jones said. “The world is coming together on this matter now that President Obama has taken the leadership on it and is approaching it in a slightly different way – actually a radically different way – to discuss things with other …

Gun Toter At Obama Event Supports Hate Preacher

Chris Broughton, who brandished a gun at President Obama’s Tempe, Arizona event, is a follower of Pastor Steven L. Anderson, and “concurs” with Anderson’s prayer for Obama “to die and go to Hell.”  Broughton actually moved to Tempe in order to follow Anderson’s preachings.

In an interview with ABC 15 outside the storefront Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, Broughton said of Anderson’s controversial August 16 “Why I Hate Barack Obama” sermon: “I concur, I think we’d be better off if God would send [Obama] where he’s going now instead of later. [Obama] is destroying our country.”

And when …

Gibbs Fires Back At Cheney

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs responded forcefully to Dick Cheney’s ongoing criticisms of the Obama administration.

“This is the same song and dance we’ve heard since literally the first day of our administration,” Gibbs said. “The vice president … clearly had his facts on a number of things wrong.”

Gibbs did not call out Cheney on specific misstatements, but suggested the former vice president’s criticism about a newly formed unit responsible for interrogating high-value detainees was off base. After Cheney ridiculed the unit, Gibbs said it would have participants from several law enforcement agencies and dismissed the notion …

Former Miss California Carrie Prejean is claiming she was forced out of her position because of religious discrimination.

The Tea Party Express: Don’t Let Them Tell You It’s Bipartisan

A cross-country bus convoy called the “Tea Party Express” commenced this weekend, stopping in 33 cities, and organized by conservative talk show host Mark Williams.  Are they going to tell us it’s a bipartisan grassroots movement again?

“We figured it’s about time for somebody to run to the front of the parade and say, ‘Follow me,’ and to try and herd all these cats into a semi-coherent message,” Williams said.

The Tea Party Express is scheduled to conclude Sept. 12 with a rally in Washington, D.C.

Notice who the targets are in their promotional video. …

Where Is Richard Nixon When You Need Him?

nixon

Paul Krugman in the New York Times reminds us that one of Ted Kennedy’s regrets is that he didn’t accept a deal on health care with Richard Nixon in the early 1970s.  What Richard Nixon wanted to do makes today’s Democrats look like Republicans.

Nixon’s proposal for health care reform looks a lot like Democratic proposals today. In fact, in some ways it was stronger. Right now, Republicans are balking at the idea of requiring that large employers offer health insurance to their workers; Nixon proposed requiring that all employers, not just large companies, offer insurance.

Nixon also …

Jon Voight: “Obama Is Causing Civil Unrest” In America

I suggested that Jon Voight had jumped the shark when he asked if President Obama was creating a civil war in America. He furthered than notion on Mike Huckabee’s television show. First, he said America is being forced to do something it doesn’t want, meaning health care. Then he claimed, “We’re witnessing a slow and steady takeover of our true freedoms. We’re becoming a socialist nation, and Obama is causing civil unrest in the country.”

Voight continued to complain about how “the stimulus package didn’t work; we’re being told what cars we should drive and how much money we can …

Tiller Killer May Claim Justifiable Homicide

616-072809Roeder_9cfd5

Scott Roeder has pleaded “not guilty” in the killing of abortion provider George Tiller, and has told the AP that the killing was justified to “save the lives of the unborn.”  Now, Roeder is looking to bring on attorney Michael Hirsch, who defended Paul Hill in his appeal on killing an abortion provider and his bodyguard in 1994.  Hill was executed in 2003 after the court rejected his efforts to claim to a jury that his actions were justified to prevent abortions.

The Florida Supreme Court ruled in denying Hill’s appeal that his motivation would not change the …
