Mark Sanford’s long-suffering wife Jenny (right, in yellow) will move out of the governor’s mansion in Columbia for a place in Charleston. She says,  “From there we will continue to work on the process of healing our family.”

Mrs. Sanford’s announcement came two days after the couple returned from a two-week vacation in Europe with their sons. The family also traveled together over the Fourth of July weekend to visit Mrs. Sanford’s parents in Florida, and the couple traveled again later that month.

“After much careful and prayerful consideration,” Mrs. Sanford wrote, “I have decided to move back to our home in Charleston with our sons for the upcoming school year.” Ms. Sanford was photographed Friday removing baskets of belongings from the governor’s mansion.
