On Thursday’s Radio Show…
• A Proud Liberal: Alan takes a close look at the wisdom of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy.
• The citizens of Englewood, New Jersey aren’t exactly rolling out the welcome wagon for Muammar Qaddafi’s visit. Alan speaks with the Libyan leader’s soon-to-be neighbor, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.
• A “great white hope”? Alan examines what one Republican Congresswoman says she wants in a president.

Ha, ha!!! Colmes has white supremacist listeners in Wisconsin!!
Well, at least that makes his Alabam’ redneck listeners seem more normal.

The UN is in my brain, trying to make me do things I don’t want to do!!
I heard California is about to put Yosemite up for sale. Maybe that’s what the redneck caller was concerned about? My bet is the ChiComms would be a more likely purchaser than the UN though.
California is selling on eBay …

… but it doesn’t look like Arnie has Yosemite listed tonight. In fact, he doesn’t have anything listed.

John the Trucker is still an idiot.
It’s not his fault, he’s a redneck and the only way rednecks can feel better about their own sorry place in life is to make fun of people they consider of a lower station than even themselves. And, to most rednecks, gays are near the bottom of the ladder.
It’s what they do.
Strangely, John doesn’t see the irony in making fun of the odd way someone else speaks when John himself has a heavy mid-south accent.

“Strangely, John doesn’t see the irony in making fun of the odd way someone else speaks when John himself has a heavy mid-south accent.”
That’s a good point. I don’t refer to John The Trucker from The Alan Colmes show when I am trying to point out an example of fine verbiage and literary composition in spoken form.
That guy always makes me laugh.
He is so dedicated to the idea that he can “out debate” any liberal alive but I wonder if he even understands that there NEVER is a winner in a real debate because no score is kept. It’s all up to the audience to decide and everyone in the debate always thinks they won and everyone on one side or the other always thinks their side won.
Nobody “wins” but I’d be glad to destroy his illogical points and misnomers on a point-by-point basis any time he wants. But when I do that everyone on the right would refute anything I said and every source I used while everyone on the left would be ‘rah-rah’ing me.

Now that I think about it, the “UN is buying our parks” caller is probably right as this fits in with other things we’ve been hearing.
The UN is buying our parks to locate the new FEMA concentration camps in. The camps that Obama intends to jail all his Republican dissenters/tea-baggers/birthers in.
It makes perfect sense.

Dear Rabbi Shmuley Boteach,
I heard you on Alan Colmes radio show last night. In the spirit of putting your own house in order before giving advise to another, consider a proper American response to Iran Air flight 655. Two wrongs do not make a right, however the U.S. response to the USS Vincennes killing 290 passengers was not so dissimilar from the Libyans response to the freeing of Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi.
Iran Air Flight 655
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Iran Air Flight 655, also known as IR655, was a civilian airliner shot down by the United States Navy on Sunday 3 July 1988, over the Strait of Hormuz.
The aircraft, an Airbus A300B2 operated by Iran Air as IR655, was flying from Bandar Abbas, Iran, to Dubai, UAE, when it was destroyed by the U.S. Navy’s guided missile cruiser USS Vincennes, killing all 290 passengers and crew aboard, including 66 children, ranking it the seventh among the deadliest airliner fatalities. It was the highest death toll of any aviation incident in the Indian Ocean and the highest death toll of any incident involving an Airbus A300 anywhere in the world. The Vincennes was traversing the Straits of Hormuz inside Iranian territorial waters and at the time of the attack, IR655 was within Iranian airspace.
According to the US government, the crew mistakenly identified the Iranian Airbus A300 as an attacking F-14 Tomcat fighter. The Iranian government maintained that the Vincennes knowingly shot down the civilian aircraft. The event generated a great deal of controversy and criticism of the US. Some analysts have blamed US military commanders and the captain of the Vincennes for reckless and aggressive behavior in a tense and dangerous environment.
In 1996, the United States and Iran reached “an agreement in full and final settlement of all disputes, differences, claims, counterclaims” relating to the incident at the International Court of Justice. As part of the settlement, the United States agreed to pay US$61.8 million in compensation for the Iranians killed.
in August 1988 Bush said of the incident:
“I’ll never apologize for the United States of America, ever. I don’t care what the facts are.”
For all I know you have already organized a protest of George H. W. Bush and spoken out frequently about the downing of flight 655, if not there is still time. Also this, available free online, may inform, TRAIL OF THE OCTOPUS: FROM BEIRUT TO LOCKERBIE — INSIDE THE DIA by Donald Goddard with Lester K. Coleman.
Have yourself a pleasant weekend, Johannas

Note to STAFF:
The podcast for this show is only half there.
I haven’t listened yet but the file is half the normal size and it’s only 50 mins long so that’s no good.
Like others I am paying for this service so I do need you all to provide the whole thing for me if I am going to pay for it.

Occasionally people will ask me to illustrate how exactly it is I come to call so many conservatives “liars” and “hacks”. I would like to be clear I don’t use such terms lightly. It’s because of simple and clear times when they lied and used hackney tactics to boost ratings / public attention.
Here is a random example from Dr. Rahul K. Parikh regarding RNC Chair Michael Steele:

Many people in Great Britain beleive that he is not the bomber.
