Laura Ling And Euna Lee Are Back!
Here’s the raw video of the US arrival of Laura Ling and Euna Lee.
Family members gathered at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, Calif. before dawn Wednesday to await the arrival of the plane carrying the women and former president Bill Clinton, who arranged their release Tuesday during a trip to Pyongyang.
Officials positioned about 100 journalists and television producers in bleacher-style risers that had been set up in Hangar 25, and several rows of white folding chairs were set up for family members and dignitaries, including Gore.

E! Online has the biggest news of the night (which is probably just a negotiating tactic):
Less than a week after E! News confirmed that Kara DioGuardi will be returning to the judges’ table, [Paula] Abdul wrote on Twitter Tuesday that she will not be back for the show’s ninth season.
“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all…being a part of a show that I helped from day1become an international phenomenon,” read two tweets posted shortly after 7:30 p.m.…

Former UN Ambassador John Bolton is claiming that President Obama sending Bill Clinton to North Korea amounts to rewarding that country for bad behavior and undermines public stands taken by his own wife, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. (Clinton is pictured here with Kim Jung Il and former White House Chief of Staff John Podesta).
“It comes perilously close to negotiating with terrorists,” Bolton told AFP when asked about Bill Clinton’s trip to secure the release of journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee.

Bill Clinton’s mission to gain the release of Current TV journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling has met with success.
The release of Laura Ling and Euna Lee was a sign of North Korea’s “humanitarian and peaceloving policy,” the Korean Central News Agency reported.
Clinton, who arrived in North Korea earlier in the day on an unannounced visit, met with the reclusive and ailing Kim — his first meeting with a prominent Western figure since his reported stroke nearly a year ago.
North Korea accused Ling, 32, and Lee, 36, of sneaking into the country illegally in …

Even Ann Coulter says the birthers are cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs. But Chuck Norris, in a birthday letter to President Obama, is asking the Commander-in-Chief to release his birth certificate.
I’m writing you because this is no longer a matter merely about proving you meet a presidential prerequisite in the Constitution. Refusing to post your original birth certificate is an unwise political and leadership decision that is enabling the “birther” controversy. The nation you are called to lead is experiencing a growing swell of conspirators who are convinced that you are covering up something. So why not just prove …

Upon his arrival in North Korea, Bill Clinton met with their chief nuclear negotiator, Kim Kye-gwan. Speculation is that his mission extends beyond the release of Euna Lee and Laura Ling, and includes discussing the country’s nuclear program.
The video of Clinton’s arrival was provided to the Associated Press by North Korean state television. Interestingly this story highlights the trip a being about “diffusing nuclear tensions” and then goes on to say, “Clinton is also expected to inquire about the condition of Laura Ling and Euna Lee.” It sounds as though North Korea wanted a high level visit to discuss …

Bill Clinton is on his way to North Korea, charged with negotiating the release of Laura Ling (right) and Euana Lee (left), according to a South Korean news agency.
Yonhap news agency says Clinton is on his way to Pyongyang, citing an unidentified high-level source. Yonhap said Tuesday that when Clinton arrives he will enter negotiations to win the release of the reporters. It is not clear when he will arrive.
The reporters, Laura Ling and Euna Lee, were sentenced in June to 12 years of hard labor for entering the country illegally and engaging in “hostile acts.”…

Dale Neumann, 47, was convicted of killing his 11-year-old diabetic daughter by praying rather than getting her medical care. Madeline Kara Neumann couldn’t talk, walk, eat or drink, and now both parents face 25 years in jail.
Neumann, who once studied to be a Pentecostal minister, testified Thursday that he believed God would heal his daughter and he never expected her to die. God promises in the Bible to heal, he said.
“If I go to the doctor, I am putting the doctor before God,” Neumann testified. “I am not believing what he said he would do.”
Prosecutors …

It looks as though David Weigel at Washington Independent has found the source of the so-called “Kenyan birth certificate” that Orly Taitz is trying to pass off as some kind of smoking gun. It’s readily available at a genealogy website that has a boilerplate version.
- The design is identical, down to the seal at the top and the classifications (”Christian name,” etc) used for identifying the baby.
- The “registrar” on the Bomford document is G.F. Lavender. On the Taitz document, it’s E.F. Lavender.
- The “district registrar” on the Bomford document is J.H. Miller. On the …
