  1. Well, what I’d really like to hear from Geraldo is what Hispanics will do with the mantle of leadership when they become the dominant ethnic group in the United States.

Which should be what? In another 30 years or so?

  2. I intend to stop and discuss my new book, “The Great Progression: How the White Man Will Lead America to a New Era of Prosperity”.

The first draft of my new book was entitled, “The Great Progression: How the Aryan Nation Brotherhood and Ku Klux Klan Will Lead America to a New Era of Prosperity” but the publisher had a problem with that. My publisher must be a racist.

I still get a laugh thinking back to “The Mystery of Al Capone’s Vault” and watching Jerry open the vault up to only discover … dust. One of the truly great moments in live television.

I remember watching that on TV Anonymouse. Geraldo Rivera’s entire career has been about himself. I really don’t care to much for his style of reporting, if you can call what he does reporting.

I thought he made a fool of himself over that Al Capone’s Vault episode. That is when he lost all his credibility with me.

Good Morning Daddio, I always loved his talk show when he had it and when he was doing reporting on 20/20. I had seen the Al Capone’s vault thingy, it was egg on his face. I also heard him talk about the O.J. Simpson case and trial. Ya know as a Lawyer he should have known that they really botched that up. He should have known that NO cops should not have walked into a crime scene without booties, so that they would not contaminating the crime scene. Hearing that they did not call the ME until 6:00 in the morning when they seen Nicole’s dog running loose with blood on it’s paws. I used to talk about this with a friend whose husband was an ex-police officer and he said this was the worst crime investigation he has ever seen. Remember he was on MSNBC until he was left go, well I think he was left go and went to Fox News.

    Daddio Reply:

    Morning Celticwitch.

Geraldo always sensationalized his stories. I never liked that kind of reporting. He is more intuned to a gossip rag or something like National Enquirer.

    Celticwitch Reply:

He should have stayed an Attorney. I stopped watching him when he did that Capone’s vault. How stupid was he, do you think Al Capone had his money in the same Hotel where he stayed in Chicago? The St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, that wall was saved because of the historical significance of it. Do they have a criminal hall fo fame? I do know that Bonnie and Clyde’s car was on displayed and the movie Bonnie and Clyde when the death scene, they placed the bullet holes were idenical to the death car. It would be interesting to see.

    Daddio Reply:

I just saw that movie last weekend Celticwitch. It was made in 1968 I belileve. A great movie. Hadn’t seen it in a long time. Remember the song about Bonnie and Clyde that came out sometime around the late 1960’s?

    Celticwitch Reply:

Yeah I remember, I never seen it in the movies, but on TV. Yeah I remember that song, they lived hard and died Horrible. I googled Bonnie and Clyde’s death car, you can actually say that was over kill.

    Daddio Reply:

Imagine shooting up a modern day Bonnie and Clyde like that today. The authorities involved would be hung out to dry.

That was over kill, yes, but they wanted to put and end to their sometimes terror reign. They did kill several cops. I guess they made sure they wouldn’t rob anymore banks or kill anymore cops.

    Celticwitch Reply:

Daddio, remember in the movie and I do believe that it could have been true, that they burned alot of mortgages so people would not loose their homes, they did do some good, but yes they did kill. I believe alot of these gangsters during the Great Depression did help and did kill. I would love to know more about John Dillinger, Bonnie and Clyde, Ma Barker, I wonder if the Depression brought out the worse in people, or the best?

    Daddio Reply:

I didn’t see the first half hour or so of the movie Celticwitch. I do remember seeing where a gangster did burn mortgages. It might have been in Bonnie and Clyde. Been so long since I last saw it can’t remember.

There is an interesting point about John Dillinger I remember. He always drove a Ford. In fact he was so impressed with Fords that he wrote Henry Ford and praised him on the fine automobile he made. He said it was a fast auto witch made his job easier when escaping after one of his hijinks. I actually saw that letter on desplay in the Henry Ford Museum in Deerfield, Michigan. BTW if you ever get the chance, if you haven’t already, you should visit the Henry Ford Museum sometime. It is a huge place. You actually need 2-3 days just to go through it and see everything. It also has the limo that JFK was riding in Dallas the day he was shot. And many, many other very interesting items and displays.

But, getting back to what we were talking about. Those characters have always fascinated me also. Along with Billy The Kid, Wyatt Earp, and many who lived in the Wild West.

    Daddio Reply:

Hey, I gotta go Celticwitch. Talk to ya later. Have a great day.

    Celticwitch Reply:

you have a great day too, Daddio.

  3. Geraldo’s other book: His Panic: Why Americans fear Hispanics in the U.S.

I’m not sure what it is, but I sense a common theme in his writings.

    libpatriot Reply:

You could be on to something there……

    libpatriot Reply:

    Er, WHOSE panic?

    Lib Patriot Reply:

    Oh yeah, that’s right……Lou Dobbs’s!

  4. Geraldo’s next book based on his mother’s family background – “The Great Progression: How the Jews Are Really Running The World”.

Okay, maybe that would cause someone problems too.

I helped a coworker move. His parents moved up here from Mexico in WW2 and stayed. My buddy isn’t Mexican and not really Hispanic, he’s only American.

A bunch of us got together and were moving his household goods when our buddy’s sister showed up and began to get militantly pro-Hispanic. The stupid broad almost chased everyone off for reasons no one could figure with her “Latinos are taking over” nonsense. Eventually, she left on her own and we got everyone moved.

My buddy’s sister is writing a book – “The Great Progression: How Mexicans Will Lead America to a New Era of Properity and Finally Put Whitey in the Back of the Bus Where He Belongs”.

    libpatriot Reply:

That last book sound like a particularly interesting read, Anonymouse, gotta say.

  5. So many odd callers tonight.

Colmes has many fans in FreeperLand.

I was especially impressed by the fellow who called our host “Sean”.

  6. Alan: “To h*ll with ratings! I’ve got a higher calling!”

    LOVED that….

  7. Ridge sounded even more moderate in temperate than he does in his political leanings (that’s meant as a compliment).

    flap Reply:

I didn’t hear the interview but Ridge never exactly struck me as being a right-winger, libpatriot. On some issues, perhaps, but I thought he was pretty moderate. I mean, his stance the abortion issue alone kinda nixed his chances to be VP candidate in 08. Which is strange, since Giuliani has a similar position.

    Celticwitch Reply:

Flap, he is a very honest man. He did not oppose abortions in Pennsylvania, if he did, don’t you think the man who would have done it would be Gov. Casey, and Irish-Catholic and did not believe in the Death penalty, but did not abolish it. We still have it and Abortions in Pa.

I heard during the Elections of 08, if McCain would have choosen Ridge, PA could have been a red state, and normally it is blue, sometimes purple, but was always going for Democrats.

    Lib Patriot Reply:

Oops, I meant “temperament”, not “temperate”, but both Flap and Celticwitch were wise enough to know what I meant (thank goodness).

  8. And you even had to talk about the music on your show Alan. You seem obsessed with this music thing.

  9. Anyone see on CNBC,

Maria Bartiromo tells 44 year old Anthony Weiner if Medicare is so good why isn’t he on it?

Isn’t she also one of our crack journalists who schmoozes around ceos, and then report who well their companies are doing right before they go belly up?

    Daddio Reply:

My question for all 535 Congressmen/women and the President: If the proposed national healthcare system is so great for the American citizen, then why are all 535 plus Pres. Obama and VP Biden exempt from having to go on it?

Why won’t anyone in the media ask each one of them that question?

Lead by example Congressmen/women, Pres. Obama, and VP Biden.

    OldLefty Reply:

Daddio, I last heard that Congress DID vote for the Corburn amendment.

Also, the public option is an option, no one is forced ….option is choice,

MY question is If the GOP is SO against government paid healthcare, why won’t they vote for Rep Weiner’s bill to abolish medicare ?

    “Lead by example Congressmen/women”!

    average james Reply:

The last I heard, congress will be on the same plan, public option.

Here again, even though that is true, the loud conservative right will ensure that the fallacy lives on.

The president is an entirely different situation.
Think about why that is the way it is, and the answers will come to you Willio.

    RDM Reply:

    AJ,

I hope you are right about members of Congress being on the same plan.

If there is a fallacy, it’s that yes, they will be offered the same plan as everyone.
Meaning they can choose to keep their existing plan or not?

I guess the fallacy is we don’t even have a final bill yet. Obama’s speech on prime time next week will be very important to all of us.

    anonymouse Reply:

CNBC (and its on-air personalities) is on a “kill the public health insurance option” mission. The public option is “bad for business”.

Maria is only acting on orders. She may have realized Weiner fell a “little” short of Medicare eligibility and was maybe only hoping no one else would notice? Otherwise, she can’t be THAT stupid, can she?

More odd, because most of the CNBC on-air people are pushing Medicare eligibility themselves. They’re all rightwing fossils. But, at least the CNBC Cuban broad still has a nice rack and likes tight sweaters. I’ll keep watching her until “the twins” sag down to her belt line.
