  1. The campaign endures; their dream continue;they found
    another rev.Wright(Van Jones).They still don’t have a platform.
    Will indoctrination replace “Birthers”?

  2. Indoctrinate?

Actually, that’s an interesting word, because according to Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate the definition goes like this (which I copy and paste without editing):

1 : to instruct especially in fundamentals or rudiments : TEACH
2 : to imbue with a usually partisan or sectarian opinion, point of view, or principle

Now that is a Swiss army knife of a word, suitable for all occasions, regardless of which brand of extremist you might be, or whether you happen to be “teaching,” or “imbuing.”

    GuidoVanHorn Reply:

if I were to order the definitions by meaning by usage, I’d reverse 1 and 2. but that is a mighty wide swath of a word.

  3. AS per fox news van jones should have been gone!!
Yet, they are retaining glenn beck!!!
Does Fox news want to have an exchange of prisoners?

    Daddio Reply:

Glenn Beck loves this country. Van Jones is an avowed communist who has accused whites of poisoning the water of minorities and dropping poison on illegal immagrants. Van Jones is a radical. Glenn Beck is a patriot. Ever watch Glenn’s show? If so, how many times have you seen his show?

    Daddio Reply:

I think Van Jones will be gone soon. Obama would be ill advised to keep him on.

    Um Cara Reply:

Glen Beck is a hateful little weasel. Fox News would be well advised to keep him on. Hateful little weasels get good ratings on the Fear Factor network.

    Daddio Reply:

Show me evidence of Glenn’s hatefulness. Have you ever watched his show?

You’re starting to sound like Eric or Rocky.

    Um Cara Reply:

Have you ever watched his show?

I’ve never made it through an entire one, no. I get uncomfortable watching him because he comes across as such an amateur. I start feeling sorry for him.

    Just awful, awful stuff.

And yes, he comes across quite hateful at times (paranoid at others, and amateurish always).

You’re starting to sound like Eric or Rocky.

Now you are sounding hateful! :p

    Daddio Reply:

If you don’t have the courage to watch his entire show than you really miss where he is coming from. He is not a Democrat. He is not a Republican. He is a Libertarian. He has pounded the Bush Administration as well as the Obama Administration.

He says things that really make sense. One cannot only watch a small portion and come back with a real understanding of what he believes.

By getting “uncomfortable” watching Glenn, do you mean he is hitting a nerve with you? Is he starting to make sense to you and that makes you uncomfortable?

LOL – so watching Fear Factor requires ‘courage’? I thought it just required a strong stomach.

By getting “uncomfortable” watching Glenn, do you mean he is hitting a nerve with you? Is he starting to make sense to you and that makes you uncomfortable?

No, he just comes across as being so out of his depth, so clownish, that I feel bad for him. Like he is embarrassing himself, but doesn’t realize it.

    Daddio,

    EVERYBODY loves this country.

I asked before if Beck was lying when he worked for CNN and called the American health care system a nightmare, or is he lying now on Fox??

the far right says that about ALL Democrats, it’s old:

Van Jones is an avowed communist
The ad began with a sarcastic “Welcome Mr. Kennedy to Dallas,” a city which had been the victim of “a recent Liberal smear attempt” and which had prospered “despite efforts by you and your administration to penalize it for non-conformity to ‘New Frontiers’.” The ad then posed a series of belligerent, insulting loaded questions, including:
“Why has Gus Hall, head of the U.S. Communist Party, praised almost every one of your policies and announced that his party will endorse and support your re-election bid?”
“Why have you ordered or permitted your brother Bobby, the Attorney General, to go soft on Communists, fellow-travelers, and ultra-leftists in America, while permitting him to persecute loyal Americans who criticize you, your administration, and your leadership?”
“Why have you scrapped the Monroe Doctrine in favor of the ‘Spirit of Moscow’?”

    Daddio Reply:

Not everybody loves this country Lefty. There are many in America who detest our form of government and would love to fundamentally change our country. Van Jones is one and I heard him with my own ears say that. He did not miss-speak.

    Daddio Reply:

By the way, if you go back to the Van Jones story posted this morning you will see that I did get back with you on your question for me.

    OldLefty Reply:

Daddio, do you mean like the Texas Secessionists who said ”
Larry Kilgore, a Christian activist that the Texas Observer says has advocated execution for homosexuals, “drew some murmurs of disapproval” when he told the crowd: “I hate that flag up there. … I hate the United States government. … They’re an evil, corrupt government. They need to go. Sovereignty is not good enough. Secession is what we need!”

Or like the right wing talk show hosts who seem to demand obedience to the government when their guy is the government, but hates America when they lose an election?

I can name two instances: He accused Obama of racism with no proof whatsoeve. And who can forget the time he joked about poisoning Pelosi?

No. Glen Beck does NOT love this country. I’d say he’s more of a terrorist than an patriot. And he’s crazy.

    Lee Reply:

Actually, I must confess I watch Glenn Beck (along with O’Reilly and Hannity) fairly regularly.

Not because they are informative or that I agree with any of their shtick but instead I simply find them entertaining in a twisted kind of way. It’s fun seeing how they will distort the truth and/or try to get gullible conservatives wound up by selectively using facts to push some emotional buttons (particularly Beck/Hannity).

On top of that, Alan appears every now and then and even though 30 second debates dumb down the issues, I think you see more conservative versus liberal debates as opposed to the annoying faux debates where a conservative ‘argues’ with another conservative or a liberal ‘argues’ with another liberal (e.g on msnbc).

Still I think since he joined Fox, Glenn has got locked in a dogfight with Hannity to prove who can come up with the most outrageous misrepresentation of Obama and the Democrats on a daily basis.
And well ‘America’.. he regularly insults Thomas Jefferson with his ‘question with boldness’ nonsense which is more akin to question with ‘chutzpah’ based on the way he misrepresents people and issues before he provides his ‘honest’ queries.

Still it’s sad to say that faced with him or someone bland like Rachael Maddow, I find him more entertaining and frankly thats the main reason for watching television anyway.

Glenn Beck is an insult to all patriots and an insult to everyone everywhere you loves their country.

He is a disgrace and piece of crud broadcaster.

He lies to his audience, uses slander and never admits when he is completely wrong about the nonsense he spews out his anus, I mean mouth.

Daddio – “Show me evidence of Glenn’s hatefulness.”

Only someone who hates their country would lie about their president and lie about the reality of the liberal movement every single day.

I would be a really poor example of an American if I spent every day, all day. calling conservatives & Republicans fascist dogs and Nazi supporters. But that disgraceful an disgusting man says the word ’socialist’ every ten seconds on his program which is completely false.

If people hate the truth so much why don’t these same FOX News / Glenn Beck fans just go ahead and start book burnings and destroy education facilities. Because the intelligence in those places and sources are what proves that they are not only bad Americans but bad people as well.

I was watching Keith Olbermann, yeah he is really left. I am sometime wish there were some unbiased Journalist out there. But any who; he was talking about Glenn Beck walking past some architect in New York. Almost everything he was pointing out, this is totally socialism, fascism and communism. Did he realize that some of these architects that were hired had done many buildings in Europe.

Some of the Architectural works are very beautiful. I wonder if what the Right wingers out there think if I say, In Russia there are some of the most beautiful works as well as most of Europe.

  4. Indoctrination VS hannitization—–What’s the difference?

  5. Max Lucado is a wonderful author and Christian. I have read some of his books. Very inspirational.

    MOM: WHY, DAD?

DAD: OBAMA IS GOING TO TURN THEM BLACK!

  7. G.H. Davis Warns New Deal Moves Country Towards the Socialist State.

“Washington is moving surely into the State Capitalism that marks the totalitarian countries of Europe. Thus we move straight down the road by which ‘business will logically be required to disappear.’”

  8. “I don’t care what he did, everything was Bill Clinton’s fault!!!”

  9. Question: Why don’t we hear liberal callers complaining on rightwing radio the conservative hosts are treating them poorly, as we hear on Colmes?

Answer: The leftwingers don’t get past the conservative radio show call screeners. Except for the occasional one only allowed in for the host to pick apart so the other listeners at home can scream, “Yeah, KILL ‘EM, KILL ‘EM!!!”.

  10. If you go to “teapartyexpress dot org” and click on the “about” link it takes you to “The tour delegation includes” and Kenneth Gladney (remember him?) appears at the bottom of the page.

His link is then thoughtfully provided …

    http://www.iamkennethgladney.com/

… and it’s pure propaganda, truthiness taken to new heights. The photo is a nice touch.

No thanks, I don’t want the NSA having a record of my computer visiting that addy.

    anonymouse Reply:

But, if you don’t visit “iamkennethgladney” you’ll miss the photo of Kenneth … sitting in his wheelchair (apparently still suffering from his townhall “injuries”) as another man leans over to kiss him tenderly on the top of his bald/shaved head.

It’s HORRIBLE what those evil Dem/SEIU goons did to this poor man. HORRIBLE!!! Don’t tread on Kenneth!!

The NSA tags everyone who visits Colmes. You’ve already been “made”. What’s one more subversive website to visit?

  11. The caller from St. George, Utah who asked, “Would you allow your children to be addressed in school by somebody with a chip on his shoulder that’s stronger than his love for America?”, is a typical wingnut for these days. When Alan tried to explain how she was mistaken, she kept talking over him, for fear that he might make sense to her.

  12. Goofiest caller of the night, IMO, is the guy who called up sounding pickled (and denying being drunk to Alan, of course) who claimed that if we had the same level of political correctness years ago that we have today, Sesame Street’s Kermit would never have been able to say, “Hi-ho, Kermit the Frog here!”

(And just why would Jim Henson not have been allowed to say it? Because of the syllable “ho”? Oh, Jeez, ROFLMAO!)
