Randall Terry Targeting Obama’s Children’s School
Operation Rescue founder Randall Terry has decided to conduct a protest outside the Sidwell Friends School in DC, where the Obama daughters attend (via Right Wing Watch).
The press release says:
On Thursday, 9/17 and Friday 9/18, Various Pro-Life Groups Will Stage Protests at High Schools From Noon to 1:00 P.M., Showing Pictures of Aborted and Healthy Babies — the Same Pictures Jim Pouillon Was Showing When He Was Gunned Down
[...]
MEDIA ADVISORY, Sept. 15 /Christian Newswire/ — The following is submitted by Randall Terry, Director, Operation Rescue Insurrecta Nex:
One protest will occur at Sidwell Friends School in Washington DC, where many high powered politicos send their children.
“We will not be intimidated into silence. We will continue to show images of aborted babies at high schools, no matter what the cost.
Pouillon is the anti-abortion protester shot to death in Michigan last week. President Obama condemned the killing, calling it “deplorable’, but the press release complains, “he said nothing about protecting pro-lifers.” Showing pictures of fetuses to young children will surely convince Malia and Sasha to be anti-choice, and warm hearts everywhere.

Right. Because anti-abortion groups care about kids so much. Not.
Seriously, when are the Republicans going to come to their senses and return to Goldwater sensibilities?

Why is showing an an aborted fetus bad? It’s just cells! I never understand why people think that’s inflammatory when it’s just cold, hard reality. That’s what abortion is!
And I’m wondering when the next leftist pro-abortion zealot is gonna strike again and kill an anti-abortion protester. Pouillon is a true hero in my book. A martyr for the cause. God bless him. Just wanted to raise peoples’ awareness to an inhuman procedure and got killed by some leftist zealot who apparently doesn’t like peaceful protesting.
Now, to the issue of the school…I’m not sure how I feel about it being done at Sasha and Malia’s school. No matter your feeling on abortion, involving the President’s children directly is probably inappropriate. If it were anywhere else I wouldn’t have an issue. It’d be like people showing up at Bush’s daughters schools and protesting the war. Go to other politicians’ children’s schools, but not the President.

Osama said the same thing about Mohammad Atta, you know.

Was Pouillon murdering anyone, numbnuts? You equate peaceful protest to murder? You’re bonkers, as usual. Pulling stuff out of your rear. But I’m used to it.
I could use the above phrase to describe the oh-so-wonderful Dr. Tiller. Many of you thought he was heroic. He singlehandedly butchered more babies during his reign of “medical heroism” than Atta killed on 9/11. Many more. And he got rich, too! Wonderful guy!

Hey, I’m as open minded as the next guy, but I really don’t want to hear about what you two crazy kids do behind closed doors.

Let’s rephrase that, shall we?
I could use the above phrase to describe the oh-so-wonderful Bush and Cheney. Many of you thought he was heroic. He singlehandedly butchered more babies during his reign of “shock and awe” than Atta killed on 9/11. Many more. And they got enormously rich, too! Wonderful guys!

Um, yeah. Pouillon encouraged the murder of Tiller. Fox News encouraged the murder of Tiller.
I’m telling you. Republican terrorism exists. And this is a good example of it.

I did not equate “peaceful protest” to murder.
The “peaceful protest” is within quotes. I have no idea how many of those protesters paid or abetted Scott Roeder. So, the jury is out on the “peaceful part”.
And regardless of that, I was just pointing out the path you are on: the same path traversed by Osama.

“Go to other politicians’ children’s schools, but not the President.”
I disagree. Let children have their childhood.
And they worried about OBAMA indoctrinating their children.

Exactly Sarah,
Boy did they ever have a problem with Obama talking to them about….what was the objection again ?
Dead baby photos, well, that’s ok.

Where is Sarah Palin ?
How come she is not screaming about leaving the kids out of this ?
It’s early, maybe she will step up.

Sarah Palin… Speaking of not letting children have a childhood…

Many on this site didn’t leave Sarah Palin’s children alone. There was many nasty things said about her children.
Is there a double standard when it comes to her children? Leave Obama’s children alone while we attack Sarah Palin’s children?

They may have been better to Sarah Palin’s kids than the right was to Chelsea Clinton, or even McCain’s daughter….remember the “John McCain has a black baby?” in the 2000 primaries?

I gotta back Willy up on this one – there were quite a few folks on the left, on this site, that thought it relevant to discuss Sarah Palin’s children.
And even though Sarah Palin apparently agreed that her children were relevant campaign fodder – I never agreed with Ms. Palin, or those on the left who thought her children in any way relevant to the campaign.

I didnt see it; I know I didnt do it. But I didnt follow every thread, and if you say people did on this site, I believe you (unlike Willy, your stats have been credible nearly always, and never lacking credibility by intent).

If I remember correctly, liberals didn’t want Palin’s kids to be treated as children (off-limits). And they obviously STILL do not want to respect the fact that they are kids because they continue to bring them up on this blog.

I remember governor Palin doing quite a bit of whining about children being out of bounds.
I just see more of the conservative hypocrisy.
Children should be left alone, let the parents do the parenting, don’t indoctrinate our children, blah blah blah……
Photos of dead babies, ok.
Children at tea partys carrying signs they aren’t even old enough to read.
Hypocrisy.

From post: “We will not be intimidated into silence. We will continue to show images of aborted babies at high schools, no matter what the cost.”
-wow didn’t know sasha and malia were in high school already? Must be child prodigies! Once in high school I saw these protesters with their signs except they were up the street in front of the elementary school. Then again Jesus suffer not the children but let them come unto me so that’s probable their justification for showing horrific images to young children. But the moment lil Sally or Johnny sees Janet Jackson’s boob for a millisecond on tv, then it’s outrage. Complete hypocrisy.

Well … as long as they’re showing pictures of *Healthy Babies* too. I guess it’s alright. Any cartoons depicting various methods of abortion? That’d be just age-appropriate ‘education’. ;-)
You’re right Alan, it just warms my heart … Jerks!

Hmm … (short of spitting) I can scream in your face, and even use obscenities. I think I can understand that as protected free speech. But doing this to your kid … this has gotta be against the law. Isn’t it?!

“Why is showing an an aborted fetus bad? It’s just cells! I never understand why people think that’s inflammatory when it’s just cold, hard reality.”
Yeah, and let’s start showing all kids in public schools, starting in kindergarten, how cattle are slaughtered and butchered, so they know where their next Whopper really comes from. It’s just cold hard reality.
And war is reality too, so lets get video footage to show the real effects of war on the corpses of every US service-members killed everywhere in the world, and we’ll show that in the public schools too. Because it’s just reality. And kids should understand war.
And when it’s time for drive education let’s take all the kids to the morgue and make them watch autopsies on the bodies of people killed by drunk drivers. Because that’s just reality too.

I don’t know if I’m with you on this one.
If we started in the eighth or ninth grade, ok.
It might work for some, which is better than none.
This kinda makes me think of ’scared straight’.
Remember the convicted felons who would yell(and spit quite a bit) at troubled kids.
Did ’scared straight’ work for you ?
It just kinda made me snicker. I have always had a laughter problem in the face of getting caught.

-I like that part but Rocky is forgetting something about conservative compassion which is when you are in the womb, you’re fine, when you’re out of the womb, you’re fu*ed.

“Operation Rescue” is just about bankrupt.
So they claim.
Getting there name, but mostly Randall Terry’s name, in the media could help with fund raising.
Some of those ‘photos’ are fake.
Great comment Rocky!
