“Porn makes you gay.”
Well, damn, it must take a long time to work its magic, because I’ve been looking at porn for years and years and I’m still not gay.

Tune in “Coast to Coast AM” some night and get an earful on them.

The only people who become gay after dealing with porn are the male porn stars who stop doing straight films so they can make more money doing gay pornos. Now that is a case where porn makes you gay.

it’s bizarre, a male star will typically make 500 bucks or so making a straight film but can bank 5,000 dollars in a gay film. It’s estimated that between 40-50% of the actors in gay porn are actually heterosexual.

I’m sorry, but anyone who carries a “pocket copy of the US Constitution” is a teabagger. Deny it all you want, but you are a teabagger.
There’s one senator (Byrd) known to carry but he’s the only exception. Other than him, if you carry you are a teabagger.

“The bottom 40% pay no taxes”.
Nonsense.
The bottom 40% of earners make poverty wages anyway. They/we still pay plenty of taxes.
The caller was trying to quote IRS figures (for only federal income taxes) Rush Limphead uses but he didn’t even get it right. Even if the caller had used the correct figures, the numbers presented to show how unfairly the rich are taxed and how easy the freeloading poor are getting off only disprove their argument instead. The numbers actually show how disproportionately income is packed on the high end these days. Higher income people are shouldering more of the tax load these days because a bigger share of the reported national AGI is going in their pockets. Better yet, income is growing at the high end faster than their share of the tax load is increasing.
Lower and middle class working people are getting p**d on and the shills are trying to convince us it’s only a nice summer shower.

:: The Sedition Act ::
I find that anti-American noise coming from one of the callers (originating from Bill O’Reilly) about how Bush was justified to violate the Constitution as he sees fit without any due consequence for this illegal actions due to the fact that Lincoln suspended civil liberties and civil rights in the Civil War completely unpatriotic.
Anyone who loves this country would never lie so boldly about our history in order to make their vapid political cause seem more righteous.
This nation was in a civil conflict between the states and the very basis of this conflict was founded in different interpretations of these very civil liberties and civil rights.
If the west coast armed itself and started attacking the federal government with domestic terrorist strikes, then this hogwash would hold water.
But as it stands I could have really stood to have called in (wasn‘t listening live) to clear up this nonsense because Alan Colmes completely failed to even address the issue.
He just let that mongrel misrepresent American History and allowed the lies of Bill O’Reilly to be repeated on his airwaves.
I mean, we can clear up that The Soviets and The Nazis invaded Poland at the same time … but we can’t clear up our own national history of civil warfare!?!
Every time I hear anyone defend the disgraceful and dangerous presidency of George W. Bush it is rather clear that they wish to change the facts and change the very structure of history itself to better suit their argument.
While people like myself are only asking for accountability of our leaders. Something this country is supposed to founded on.
As far as I’m concerned, the conservatives and neo-cons are actually anti-accountability. They seriously want criminals to go free. But only white collar criminals. And they have to seen as a Republican or conservative in the public. If you meet those standards you can go get hooker, lie all you want, change the facts around and even kill.

:: Jesus Christ and John The Trucker ::
“If God said it, then Jesus Christ agreed with it.”
Not accurate. John needs to read the Bible again.
After John explained his intense love for another man (bro-mance), he insisted that he has the “education” for us but he is flat-out wrong.
So why does he think he is “educating” anyone when John clearly has his facts completely backwards?
God said to stone the adulteress, Jesus said ’no’.
God said to pray for the death of the wicked, Jesus said to love to them instead.
From this point I feel there is little else to say. That list goes for quite awhile.
It is quite clear to me that almost everyone who calls themselves a Christian in the US is far, far from it–they most likely don’t even want to go and find out what the actual words in The New Testament say.
They like to spit on the image of Jesus Christ by attaching him to violence, selfish greed, bigotry, racism and intolerance. When only someone not all that familiar with how to read could possibly think and say such things.
I’m sure John The Trucker is a nice man and I’d love to debate him sometime, like he often eludes to, but when you throw Jesus under the bus … you can bet you just pissed me off.
I don’t even know if I could do anything but “take five” about every twenty seconds if I have to debate someone that talks about Jesus Christ constantly but doesn’t even realize we live in The New Covenant and harboring hate for a group, like homosexuals for instance, is expressly a sin.
What I hear, is excuses to hate.
What I believe, is that Jesus Christ would foam at the mouth calling these people out for their bigotry and their misrepresentations of what he stands for.
“Thinking like that is nothing but good for the community.”
Hate and lies are never good for the community.
Conservatism is healthy and beneficial for the nation, but only exactly as much as liberalism is. Let’s hear a FOX News pundit who make their living off lying about people like me say that. They won’t, they hate the truth.
Conservatism has nothing to do with Christianity, it never did, and conflating the two is plain disgusting.
A person who is both conservative and Christian has quite a few major intellectual hurdles to jump over.
So many, in fact, that it could easily be said that Jesus was expressly anti-conservative more than he was expressly pro-socialist or pro-liberal.
–
And everyone just go read the Constitution for yourself, it’s quite clear.
I draw your attention the 8th and the act of ‘waterbording’.
September 23rd, 2009 at 12:33 am
The conservatives long ago fled the sanity tent when they decided to embrace the like of Hannity, Limbaugh, the religious right and the rest of the village idiots, whose only interest is to line their own pockets, or to push a personal agenda based on their inability to accept change. To be taken seriously as a political wing, you need to come up with SOLUTIONS. The conservative idea of a solution is simply to say “No” to any proposal that is pro-human, or not care about the consequences of their policies. Nor are they particularly interested in being pro-active to solve problems, only reactive. Unless of course, it is to further the plutocracy that has taken over the country.
The conservative movement lost credibility when they decided to wrap themselves in the flag, war, prejudice, and religion simply to win elections. Worse, to exploit prejudices against minorities and others is the real source and genesis of division that continues to accelerate the country’s growing division. Even worse is by exploiting base prejudices, they have convinced the uninformed to vote against their own interests.
But not to worry. Conservatism by it’s very nature is unnatural. All things change, evolve, and grow. What does not, dies. Traditions and solutions that may have worked when this country had 40 million people are not workable with a population on it’s way to 400 million.
jazmine Reply:

Your statements are true in many way. Yet, unfortunately there is power in numbers. So that 40 million, has a very loud voice, a voice that can not be stifled…it’s the rabble of the mass dis- contented and uninformed…of their own choosing.
So as a Nation, how does one fix that? It’s through education, better yet, re-education, which will take generations. Have you ever looked at an American school atlas? You would be shocked. The coordinates are so off, it’s a disgrace.

Pull out an armchair because we need one for me to tell this story:
Long, long before any of us here were born that word ‘conservatism’ had a very different meaning and wasn’t applied as often to political groupings and affiliations.
There was a time that it was about the conservation of resources. Natural resources, human resources, fiscal resources, military resources, etc.
Men like John Muir best embody this stage of conservative-thought.
–
I’m ’supposed’ to say that the movement “evolved” from there but I’m afraid it gets a term like “mutated” or “morphed” if not “degenerated” or “corrupted” from there.
I’m I doing a slam-piece or a bipartisan parcel?
Which one? Which one?
I need to know because the next thing we do is throw the armchair out the window as I go:
Conservatism degenerated into a vile movement praising partisan attacks on others and calling that a political position! Opposition is not a position!!!
Argh!

Anyway, just thought I’d share.
