Tom Coburn’s COS: “Homosexuality Is Inflicted On People”
Speaking at the Voter Values Summit, Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn’s Chief of Staff, Michael Schwartz, held forth on gays and pornography.
But it is my observation that boys at that age have less tolerance for homosexuality than just about any other class of people. They speak badly about homosexuality. And that’s because they don’t want to be that way. They don’t want to fall into it. And that’s a good instinct. After all, homosexuality, we know, studies have been done by the National Institute of Health to try to prove that its genetic and all those studies have proved its not genetic. Homosexuality is inflicted on people.
Schwartz suggests that if you want to make sure your kid doesn’t enjoy porn, tell him it will make him gay.
And one of the things [a friend in the homosexual lifestyle] said to me, that I think is an astonishingly insightful remark. He said, “all pornography is homosexual pornography because all pornography turns your sexual drive inwards. Now think about that. And if you, if you tell an 11-year-old boy about that, do you think he’s going to want to go out and get a copy of Playboy? I’m pretty sure he’ll lose interest. That’s the last thing he wants.” You know, that’s a, that’s a good comment. It’s a good point and it’s a good thing to teach young people.
I don’t know if I can avoid swearing responding to this…

Speaking from experience, I can also testify that “boys at that age” have little tolerance for girls who study hard, jewish people, foreign food, people with “weird” last names, classical music, basic etiquette, or listening to other people.
Wow, so let’s look to adolescent boys as our barometer for morals and values in America.
We can belch the national anthem and make fart sounds during the Pledge of Allegiance.

By all means, let’s let young boys set our cultural and moral barometers. We’ll belch the pledge of allegiance and fxrt along to the National Anthem.

You’d have to be seriously screwed up in the head to believe some stupid crap like that, and for proof I give you the population of all human males, 95% of whom are heterosexual, and 99.99% of whom have looked at and enjoyed, and will continue to look at and enjoy all kinds of pornography, including everything from the R-rated fluff to the most triple-X hardcore variety.

The “born again bigots” are so laughable. Years ago, Senator Colburn had criticized the nudity in “Schlinder’s List”. Apparently, victims of the holocaust were somehow a sign of the pornographic decadence of hollywood. Go figure.

Homosexuality isn’t inflicted upon folks, stupidity is, as this pathetic loser proved when he opened his mouth and lowered the collective IQ in the room by 10 fold. The sound of the vacuum between his ears being filled by the rushing air when he opened his mouth must have made his audiences’ ears pop.
And I suppose that looking at a naked woman (or man) in the flesh has the same effect? Geez, it’s a wonder that humanity made it this far, if the mere image of a naked person or sex is enough to change a person’s orientation. What’s his next suggestion, that we burn all art that features the naked human body or a depiction of sex? Or should we have sex with head to toe cloaks on, since even the mere glimpse of nudity and BAM!, you are a Judy Garland listening homo.
