RI’s GOP Hispanic Assembly Leader Quits Party Because Of Joe Wilson
Ivan G. Marte, chairman of the Rhode Island Republican Hispanic Assembly, says Joe Wilson’s shout at the president was the last straw in a series of disappointments that now has him leaving the Republican Party.
“I do not want to continue being a member of a party in which the members of the party express themselves in that way,” said Marte, 59, of Cranston. In a phone interview, he called Wilson’s behavior “shameful” and “uncivilized.”
Marte says the party “does not open the door to minority groups and “needs “to adapt” to a changing society.

Unfortunately for Marte, the republikkkan party does not want to “adapt,” nor “open the door to minority groups,” because the republikkkan BASE, much like the radical muslim BASE, known as al Qaeda, is adamantly opposed to change in any form, and to recognizing any minorities, except when it comes to throwing them out of the country.

I didn’t know there were enough republican hispanics in RI to constitute their own assembly…learn something new every day.

Where is the integrity of Democrats after Harry Reid called Bush a liar and denigrated Bush in front of school children?

Reid called Bush a liar because he IS a liar. If you want my proof, just let me know. I’ll be happy to post my sources.

Bravo, Republicans shouldn’t be ‘proud’ of Wilson. I’m also glad several Republican representatives voted to condemn Wilson’s behavior.

Poor Daddio. This upsets him greatly. He always acts this way when he’s upset.

Sad part is, Republicans shouldnt be proud of Wilson NOT because he was discourteous to the President, but because he furthered the brand that equals Republican with dishonesty; He was lying, and he accused Obama of lying (on this issue), where the reality was the exact opposite.

“Every one of them, including Republicans deserve the benefit of doubt.”–Karthiks–from On Tuesdays Radio Show-9:25 am, Sept. 23.
“that equals Republican with dishonesty;” Can’t have it both ways Karthiks.

Are you dumb or what!!!
“the brand that equals Republican with dishonesty”
I didnt make that brand: Republicans made it their own, on their own.

If you’re asking ME what I think:
1.”Every one of them, including Republicans deserve the benefit of doubt.”–”
Yes, when I hear a Republican speak,I assume he may be honest.
2.”the brand that equals Republican with dishonesty””
Am aware of the “brand” surrounding Republicans, built by Republicans on their own accord. Nevertheless, I will grant the possibility they may be honest. But I will keep the probability of dishonesty in mind, given the individual’s track record on honesty(and NOT the “Republican dishonesty” brand; As I said before, to Jared,I dont believe in brand based arguments).

What’s with the crude name calling? It appears to me it is impossible to carry on a civil conversation with you since you continue to brand me with your name calling and degradation.
Why do you do that?

“Why do you do that?”
Why do you trim my words and take DUMB interpretations and NOT expected to be called DUMB?
I said:
“the brand that equals Republican with dishonesty”
And you trimmed it to:
“that equals Republican with dishonesty”

Maybe I have taken the tactic from listening to to many Obama talks. He is the master at that.
Of course you’re being disingenuous if you were to tell me you never do that.
But I stick to my former comments and opinions.
Good day. May God bless you. Have a good one.
