James O’Keefe, the videographer who who secretly taped ACORN employees, says he doesn’t know if he broke the law because he doesn’t know what the law is. Either way, it doesn’t matter to him, as he told Chris Wallace: “If you want to equate the concealment of the prostitution of children with the videotaping of someone without their consent, that’s your moral prerogative.”
On liberals: “If you use their rules against them you can really just tease them and mock them and really destroy them.”

No, there was no proof prostitution was being ‘concealed’. All it proved was that if you confront certain Acorn office workers with an outrageous scenario, they may behave foolishly.

I actually think that ACORN should press full charges on this asshole. It’s illegal to tape someone in Maryland without their knowledge or consent, AND what this kid did was an obvious case of entrapment. Furthermore, ignorance of the law is NOT an excuse.
Its not so much that I have it in for O’Keefe and his hooker friend; he’s a dumb kid playing grown up games. The problem is that this kind of crazy stuff sets a precedent, one way or the other. He pulled a set up, and its only going to get worse with copycat morons, unless ACORN defends itself by locking this smarmy turd up with some REAL pimps.

Agreed but I’d say we need a liberal film guy to enter….oh, ANY ONE of the lunatic fringe’s entities and get THEM on tape – in States where that’s LEGAL that is.
RW vote gathering groups were NOT reported on yet I found MANY incidents of their corruption online – one in my own city. These self-righteous creeps, like their Reps who got caught in the SAME AFFAIRS they had condemned….in the opposition, of course, are ALL the same; WORSE THAN those they hunt……how corrupt are YOU, O’Keefe? On drugs? Steal? We KNOW you lie……what other sins do you commit daily, asswipe?

He is the one thinking about human trafficking and presenting it. Just like his entrapment scam on Planned Parenthood. He talks about “moral prerogative” but it was his moral prerogative that came up with these sick schemes, not anyone at any of the groups that he viscously targets.

I watched the youtube videos of New York, San Diego, San Bernardino and Baltimore. I felt Hannah Giles and James O’Keefe did Acorn a service in San Diego, San Bernardino and Baltimore. In the New York video, the entrapment was too sloppy, all I saw that was out of bounds was a suggestion to bury money in the back yard. The line I draw is with the child prostitution. The video cuts so that you can’t see the NY response to the underage girls line. When giving tax advice, I would have Acorn get prostitutes to file as performance artists if that is the best category in the tax code. What do sexworkers in Rhode Island and Nevada file as? Millions of prostitutes will earn money in each of the 48 states where it is illegal, should tax advisers turn them away?
Alan could of asked when he had a pimp and sexworker on the show a while back. Alan also said that Acorn was a black organization, the sloppy Acorn workers in San Diego and San Bernardino fall outside of that characterization and were the worst advisors.
The overall review is that both the actors and the Acorn advisers are not acting very intelligently. It seems that about 18 Acorn offices did not make the mistake, not as bad as it could have been. If the videos were made in the best interest of the whole story, a video of the other cities that did not make the cut would be up with the guilty. There are a few points of note, like that in Baltimore Acorn advised “performance artists” to file as performance artists and the video suggests this is bad advice. In NYC the adviser says she would tell Hannah not to be a prostitute but that she wouldn’t listen.
I hope if this pair of video makers can hone their craft and shed the partisanship, maybe someday they can investigate the allegations of wife swapping and underage prostitution with Eric Prince and the Blackwater Xe crowd. Rachel Maddow listed a few more military contractors that have been actually convicted of misdeeds. My guess is that they are not interested in ridding this bad behavior where it can be found but rather in giving Acorn a tarnished image that it will take a bit of work to overcome. If the anti-Acorn legislation can be used to stop abusive military contractors as this link http://www.commondreams.org/headline/2009/09/23-0 suggests then it may all be worth it. My guess is that the law will only be applied to Acorn and the biggest and baddest will continue to receive the full support of the U.S. taxpayers.
So, I’d prosecute and sue in Maryland. In the civil suit I’d ask that the pair volunteer to work with underage prostitutes.

I wonder if anyone will ever put together that this O’Keefe is probably a racist with his record with Planned Parenthood and now this.
Maybe some pissed off black family who cut off from aid because of him will come and throw him out his home.

The failure to report the Philadelphia police report baring O’Keefe’s name and the fact that O’Keefe claimed in a previous apperance that there was no such document is a clear case of unprofessional journalistic bias against the truth and favoritism for O’Keefe.
I think it might even be illegal.
No joke.
You have to report something, if you know it.
And Chris Wallace (or rather FOX News) knows that O’Keefe lied on “Hannity” and knows that they reported that he ejected from ACORN offices.
So Wallace did REAL bad here.
So bad I question the whole network down to their … ahem … RACIST CORE.
