Thanks to Right Wing Watch for highlighting our interview with “Internet Evangelist” Bill Keller who, after much prodding, finally admitted just who is going to hell and that I practice a satanic religion.

Speaking at the Voter Values Summit, Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn’s Chief of Staff, Michael Schwartz, held forth on gays and pornography.
But it is my observation that boys at that age have less tolerance for homosexuality than just about any other class of people. They speak badly about homosexuality. And that’s because they don’t want to be that way. They don’t want to fall into it. And that’s a good instinct. After all, homosexuality, we know, studies have been done by the National Institute of Health to try to prove that its genetic and all those studies have proved …

Former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is speaking in Hong Kong at the CLSA Investors’ Forum this week. But it’s closed to the press. And Palin prefers it that way.
“We have asked her to address US foreign policy, to discuss her views on governance, healthcare, and of course, China,” Jonathan Slone, chief executive officer of the Asia-focused brokerage, said in an interview with AFP.
Palin was chosen to speak since she’s a possible Republican candidate in the next US presidential election and because of her influential role in politics, he said.
But CLSA, …

In a new 66-page report, General Stanley A. McChrystal warns that unless new troop are deployed to Afghanistan, the conflict “will likely result in failure.” President Obama expressed skepticism about sending more troops there during his Sunday interviews, but that contrasts with what McChrystal says the need is.
“Failure to gain the initiative and reverse insurgent momentum in the nearterm (next 12 months) — while Afghan security capacity matures — risks an outcome where defeating the insurgency is no longer possible,” General McChrystal states.

Just for fun, I went over to World Net Daily. What I saw were headlines like “Nanny State Snatches Kids for Being Too Fat”, “Official Says President ‘Fed Up’ With Israel” and “How To Survive the Coming Martial Law In America”. This last one seems to be a ad that links to a web site called martiallawsurvival.com. It promises to tell you how to “get out of harms way before globalists pull the trigger.”
The unidentified author of the site claims to be a political insider who worked for “a powerful elected official in a pretty safe district.” …

Here are some of the key points the president made during his talk show rounds:
Health care:
He said requiring people to get health insurance and fining them if they don’t would not amount to a backhanded tax increase. “I absolutely reject that notion,” the president said.
Economy:
Obama said while there are signs the economy is going to start growing again, he’ll leave it to Bernanke to say whether it’s officially over or not.
Afghanistan:
He has no deadline for withdrawing U.S. forces and pledged there will not be an indefinite …

It’s highly unusual for a president to ask a governor of the same party not to run, but that’s what’s going on as President Obama is suggesting that New York Governor David Paterson step aside.
President Obama has sent a request to Gov. David A. Paterson that he withdraw from the New York governor’s race, fearing that Mr. Paterson cannot recover from his dismal political standing, according to two senior administration officials and a New York Democratic operative with direct knowledge of the situation.
The decision to ask Mr. Paterson to step aside was proposed by political advisers …
