GOPer Resigns After Gun Event Featured Silhouettes Of Debbie Wasserman-Schultz
Ed Napolitano (right), who headed Florida’s Southeast Broward Republican Club, resigned after a gun event featuring targets resembling Muslim stereotypes and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz. Robert Lowry, a real estate mogul who is planning to run against Schultz, was at the event, and shot at the target with the initials “DWS” next to the head.
Napolitano sent Schultz a letter of apology, but also said he was pushed to resign. Lowry hasn’t apologized, and Broward Republican Chairman Chip LaMarca says he doesn’t expect him to.
LaMarca termed shooting at the target with the congresswoman’s initials stupid, immature, and deplorable. He said Lowry didn’t handle the situation well.
“He didn’t answer it properly, I don’t think,” he said.

Most of these big tough gun nuts should put down their shootin’ irons a while and get their fat asses on a Stairmaster.

Please god tell that is going on with the McCarthyism and lies being spread by people like Beck on the right wing and I just don’t know about it because I’m not a right-winger.
One could only pray such a thing was true…

Just when you think these people can’t come up with a new way to prove their insanity, they do.
Debbie is on Hardball a lot. Man, she’s sharp. The “bad boyz with guns” are only frightened of her.

Lowry (the oldest son of a Presbyterian minister and now running against Wasserman) is having a fundraiser. The keynote speaker is creepy Dick Morris. Someone probably only told Dick they have good hookers in Broward County and that’s ALL you have to tell Dick to get him on an airplane for a trip.

Dick might be planning “a hike on the ol’ Appalachian Trail” for his Florida trip?

Interesting stuff. When I was a rookie cop, the paper targets we trained with were a black bowling pin shaped, human size silhouettes on a white background. They were later changed to Gray. My understanding is that this was done because the ACLU maintained we were being trained to shoot black people

The silhouettes used during basic training at Ft. Know were all green. People make to much over what color they should be. Green, black, gray, yellow, pink, etc. Don’t much matter. They are there to help hone one’s shooting skills.

NICE AR-15 Upper in the pic. This guy is an jerk. Anyone who shoots at a picture of a human bring instead of a Silhouettes is just attracting the WRONG kind of attention. I really like going to the gun range and popping off a few… but I can’t stand when someone puts up a picture of Obama(who I greatly disagree with) or Hil-Dawg, or whom ever…thats just tasteless.

You are so right. No matter what your views are, Marksmanship can be a great activity for everyone who enjoys it. I collect these last examples of good old American smokestack Industrial technology, and fire my M-1 Garand now and then as a personal homage to the greatest generation. It only takes a few bad apples to get the rest of us labeled as gun toting neanderthols

Do you have a problem with saying “Hillary”?
Because I could say “Dubya” and “war criminal” and “Darth Vader” every ten seconds, but I don’t because I think it’s immature and stupid.
But if I’m all alone on this island of trying not to be a clown every time we speak about politics, maybe I’ll just stop that nonsense of being polite and civil.

I agree with you that people who shoot images of real people are sick in the head, or those who do things to this nature that are also sick and demented in nature.

Tonite, Alan said Lowery shot at a likeness of Debbie Wasserman Shultz. NOT TRUE. If I may correct, there was NO LIKENESS of DWS, according to the Ft lauderdale Sun -Sentinel. Her initals were written by someone next to the target. That is still very poor taste, but let’s get the facts straight.
I have seen the targets of ” terrorists” . It is a male with Arab features and a headscarf and sword holding a bomb. It’s more of a cartoon figure. Are we all that PC that we can’t do that?
I shoot self defense practice , and sometimes use targets that look like bad guys, or even bad guys holding hostages, to better prepare. Why do you say that’s sick?? I bet if I was your neighbor, and you were getting robbed or assaulted, you’d be happy I had the practice.
I believe Alan should correct himself , and offer a retraction.
