Obama Meets Fallen Troops; Now THAT’s Change
George W. Bush said he preferred to meet with families privately, but never received returning bodies. But, then, he really did look nice when he played dress-me-up.

George W. Bush said he preferred to meet with families privately, but never received returning bodies. But, then, he really did look nice when he played dress-me-up.

Ya Know ..you seem to have such love and admiration for Mr. Cheney, I bet he would like to know all about your tireless efforts to defend his good name. You should write him a letter, tell him all about your struggle, and with any luck, he will be your buddy and take you hunting.
JASPER,
Yes…introducing facts into a debate is weird for you isn’t it? Instead of debating the merits of a topic…you, and your kind, continuously stoop to disparaging the person with whom you’re debating. Adding NOTHING to the debate.
If you’ll notice, I addressed your failure to employ the very liberal ideals that you subscribe to (tolerance, compassion, forward thinking, etc). That isn’t being predjudiced…that’s just stating facts.
YOUR post, however descriptive, is filled with ad hominem drivel. There IS a difference…too bad you don’t see it through your bigotry.
Ad hominem is a “liberal” debate tactic? Look at your own post above, genius.
I shouldn’t go down to your level, but your kind isn’t equipped for rational debate.
JASPER,
NONE of what you described yourself as is true. You are NOT tolerant, open-minded, compassionate etc…or if you are…you’re only that way toward those who think like you do. Yeah…about that “tolerant” thing…HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
And good job on dipping to another liberal debate tactic – you can’t debate on the merits of the topic so let’s disparage the person. Good for you. “tolerant”…HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
It was a good try, though.
JASPER,
Good for you! Obama has NOT invaded foreign countries in his first year…but it’s still early. Otherwise, he is continuing Bush’s war policies…that’s gotta be finger-nails on the ol’ chalk board for you, huh?
I recognize that extricating the troops is going to be a long process, and it looks like Obama is being careful and methodical.
“methodical”??? What’s his method then, JASPER, since you’re obviously privy to the inner workings of his conversations with his military leaders. guffaw
Maybe YOU should be ashamed for supporting war criminals.
Typical liberal obfuscation and ignorance…apparently anyone who doesn’t bow at the alter of the mighty Obama supports a “war criminal”. Oh, by the way…I’ve never supported a “war criminal”. Oh, by the way…Bush isn’t a war criminal because he hasn’t been tried or convicted. OHHHH! I know…he’s a war criminal TO YOU! Oh, by the way…how are those civilian deaths as a result of Obama’s drone strikes weighing on you?

One strange thing about Bush was how being around aircraft seemed to bring out the dishonesty.
* He falsely claimed his National Guard unit was considered part of the Air Force.
* They made false claims about Air Force One being threatened on 9/11.
* The White House made false claims about being spotted on the way to delivering the plastic turkey to the troops in Iraq that time.
* They made false statements about why Bush had to be a passenger aboard an airplane that landed on the carrier so he could deliver his “Mission Accomplished” speech.
But more to the topic, President Obama did what a commander-in-chief must do, and that is to face up to the responsibility and cost of sending our brave men and women into harm’s way.

BURQA,

I wonder…how did Bush not do this? Because it was quite obvious that you think he didn’t?

If B*sh had any concern for the welfare of the troops, he would not have sent them to fight and die in an unnecessary war of choice, without adequate equipment or body armor, without a plan or an exit strategy, for dubious reasons known only to himself.
They probably kept him away from receiving the fallen troops or going to military funerals because he would have a tendency to go into fits of giggles about the poor schmucks who didn’t get their daddies’ friends to pull strings so they could avoid combat.
B*sh did not care about the troops. He treated them like props and like cannon fodder for his grandiose imperialistic ambitions.

That Obama’s extended…despite his campaign promises.

Ditto for Obama.

Ditto for Obama
Oops…did I just tell you something you didn’t want to know/acknowledge?

Utterly classless, JASPER. I’m absolutely speechless. You should be ashamed.

Obama has already ended B*sh’s adventurism. As you may not have noticed, the United States has not invaded any sovereign countries based on trumped-up intelligence during Obama’s term in office, not is it likely to. Too bad for bloodthirsty warmongers like you.
I am confident that Obama will end the useless wars in Iraq and Afghanistan during his term of office. I’m annoyed at the slow pace, but I recognize that extricating the troops is going to be a long process, and it looks like Obama is being careful and methodical.
You should be ashamed.
Hey, I didn’t vote for B*sh. Maybe YOU should be ashamed for supporting war criminals.

What do you mean, he doesn’t look nice playing dress-up? He pretended to be the duly-elected President of the United States for eight years, and pulled it off well enough to fool a large portion of the population.

Not ashamed at all.
“…if by a liberal they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people – their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, their civil liberties..if that is what they mean by a “liberal” then I am proud to be a liberal.” JFK, 1963
Pretty damn proud to be an open-minded, compassionate, tolerant person, rather than a mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging, ignorant racist conservative.
But don’t be ashamed of who you are. Keep strummin’ your banjo, swillin’ moonshine between your gap teeth, and shootin’ the stop signs in your trailer park.

Yes, this is “propaganda”…
FACT spreading would be repeating over and over that Cheney made no money off the war (even if its not true…we can make it true by repeating it, like Jared does)…
The Acorn “reporters” werent doing propaganda either…
Interesting how ready Jared is to call THIS propaganda, and wont speak up on the Acorn “reporters”. Shouldnt amaze anyone, since his double standards are fairly established.

I’m not real sure about the connection between Acorn and how the President handles the war. Obama went through the pain of meeting these dead heroes as they arrived on the soil of our beloved Nation. Bush handled it by wearing a flight suit, standing in front of a camera and yelling “misson accomplished”..um..and he said that about 5000 dead soldiers ago… Mission accomplished indeed. Get back to me when Rush and Beck tell you how to respond

APU,
Propaganda: chiefly derogatory information, esp. of a biased or misleading nature
So, now that your lesson is done…tell me what about Alan’s post isn’t propaganda? And what about Cheney sending money to charity is? Hmmm?
we can make it true by repeating it, like Jared does
You have your (incorrect) interpretation of Cheney’s monies made…I have mine. But, while you’re saying Cheney made money off the war…I’ve yet to see a bank statement or income statement indicating such. So…once again, a claim by you that you haven’t proven. Surprise, surprise.
Just because you seem to think that Cheney made money off the war doesn’t make it so.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Cheney did not personally profit from the war. I’d write it in crayons for you so you’d understand…but, honestly, what good would it do?
The ACORN reporters??? Who said anything about them? Since you brought it up…wheres’ the propaganda? The ACORN people were caught on tape suggesting illegal activities. The reporters recorded them and then leaked the videos. How is posting videos of ACORN people, in their own words, derogatory or misleading?
Shouldnt amaze anyone, since his double standards are fairly established.
I”ve gotta tell you, KATHUNK…a person who has proven time and time again his wonton unwillingness to subscribe to ANY standard really has no place lecturing others on their perceived “double” standard. Good luck with that one.

Anything to spread anti-Obama propaganda and then lie about the nature of it’s falsehood, right Jared?
This stage of our history disgusts me, all because of Bush-apologist like you.
You want to let the people in your party go free from all judgment under the law and in the same note you want to lambaste the man charged with fixing the mess you left for us everyday without reason or logic behind you.
It’s unpatriotic and un-American.
All you Bush lovers are just out-to-lunch.
He screwed everything up and did it while all the conservatives cheered him on.
Everything we see today, is in part your fault.
Stop blaming Obama for how much ya’ll suck at running the nation.

Anything to spread anti-Obama propaganda and then lie about the nature of it’s falsehood
Such as?
This stage of our history disgusts me
No doubt the last 8 years or so were troubling…but you seem to forget that Obama is pursuing many of Bush’s war policies. So…I’m guessing this last year “disgusts” you as well?
Bush apologist??? Where do you come up with this stuff? Oh, wait…I already know: “baaaa baaaa”
You want to let the people in your party go free from all judgment under the law
Um…nowhere have I ever suggested people who have been found guilty of a crime go free…YOU however fail to recognize the culpability of those within your own party. (How’s THAT for a double standard, KATHUNK?)
you want to lambaste the man charged with fixing the mess you left
I know how much you like making ignorant statements…but this one takes the cake. Tell me, little one…how did I leave a mess? Oh, by the way…Obama was part of creating the mess…that nugget must have slipped your memory. So sad…
It’s unpatriotic and un-American.
Who the he11 are YOU to say who/what is unpatriotic or Unamerican, little ERIC????
He screwed everything up and did it while all the conservatives cheered him on.
And while Dems voted in line with him. I noticed you left that part out.
Everything we see today, is in part your fault.
As it is, in part, yours and Obama’s.
Stop blaming Obama for how much ya’ll suck at running the nation.
You see, this is exactly why I think you’re an idiot…my post didn’t do anything CLOSE to blaming Obama for anything. Yet another diatribic and ignorant statement by this website’s resident idiot.
