GOP SC Asst AG Caught With Stripper, Sex Toys, Viagra

South Carolina Assistant Attorney General Roland Corning, 65, was seen pulling into a secluded area of a cemetery alongside an 18-year-old stripper, arousing the suspicion of Columbia, SC police officer Michael D. Wines, who eventually searched the car. The woman was an employee of the Platinum Plus Gentlemen’s Club.
[The search] revealed a sex enhancement drug (Viagra) and some sex toys. According to the report, Corning told the police he had a prescription for the medication and the other items were always in the car “just in case”, he needed them anytime he wanted.
The married Corning is a GOP activist in the state and a former legislator best known for his opposition to abortion.
“Less than two hours later, Corning was no longer employed with [Attorney General Henry] McMaster’s office, [spokesman Trey] Walker said Tuesday.”

ok…so he was probably cheating on his wife and possibly was doing it in a car in a public location (which can’t be proven)
if he has a prescription for the Viagra, I don’t see the issue, and I don’t think it’s a crime to have a sex toy in your car.
I’m pretty sure his firing is going to result in an improper dismissal lawsuit…
but he’s a big fat jerk nonetheless.

This is all a sad misunderstanding. Corning was only … ministering to the young lady. He was trying to help her find the Lord.

On what basis was he fired?
For having Viagra? Is there a list of prescription medication somewhere that if one is found to be in possession of – you lose your job?
For having sex toys? Is there a list of acceptable sex paraphernalia one may have in ones possession to remain employees? Are condoms which are ‘ribbed for her pleasure’ OK, or only the plain unlubricated ones?
For being in a car with an 18 year old woman? What age must a woman be in order to be in the same car as an assistant attorney general in SC?
There is absolutely nothing for him to explain to his employer, nor any reason whatsoever for him to be fired.
As for his wife, I would say he has quite a bit of ’splainin to do…

Hey um…..the activity going on in the cemetery was enough to rouse police suspicion because they most likely thought Mr. Corning was soliciting sex from a prostitute…….we don’t know if the stripper was in fact solicited and offered money for her services, so since it’s illegal to solicit sex in S.C. you might want to dig further into the story to find out more details. I don’t know enough details myself but he may have violated public decency laws since he having all this fun in a cemetery of all places…..very romantic guy!

Cops ask people questions, all the time. Granted, I’d say this guy’s answers were pretty silly, and he probably should have just remembered the fifth amendment, rather than answering the curious cops questions about sex toys.
.we don’t know if the stripper was in fact solicited and offered money for her services, so since it’s illegal to solicit sex in S.C. you might want to dig further into the story to find out more details.
We know the cop didn’t find enough evidence to make any charges, I’m not sure how much more digging needs to be done (though his Mrs. might have some additional questions, and since the fifth amendment seems to carry very little weight w/ spouses – I’ll again state, he has some ’splaining to do with her)

What I am anxiously awaiting is whether this chap will claim he didn’t have sex with the stripper, but was merely helping a constituent better understand “family values” or was conducting his own investigation, as I told Alan last night.
