  1. All you spooks, ghoulies, and assorted Halloween nasties, now don’t you do anything I wouldn’t do while out haunting this weekend (for one thing, I plan to not get caught with sex toys and strippers in my car)!

    (Good plan, eh?)

I think I’ll go hang at my local cemetery, see if I can find some action down there, it seems to be the new hot spot. Maybe a nice hot Devil with a long pitch fork…wait…better tune-up my BrOoOoOoM!!!

I think I’ll go hang at my local party, maybe see a nice hot she-devil that makes me grow horns..or makes my horn grow..better tune up my delivery!

I will fill my car with strippers and sex toys …

    And candy …

    And beef jerky …

    And beer …

Then I’ll send it off a cliff.

You know … for the fallen homies.

    Thoughtful…

  2. Alan, I would dress up as you for Halloween but the very thought of masquerading as a New York LIBRUL…I might not…be able to live…with myself…

If a New York LIBRUL was trick or treating I might give him or her an apple instead of candy…muhahahaha!

    EricG Reply:

I’m dressing up as a conservative. I’ll wear a Nazi uniform. Same difference.

Good-natured as me calling you a rapist and a pig following fascist greed over morality.

    Give me a break.

I’ll combat your hate with my hate until you stop spreading ungodly hate with your every keystroke.

    Get used to it.

    flap Reply:

Seriously, do you need a psychiatrist, EricG? You might consider looking into one…even a liberal one.

I don’t have any hate. But I’m glad you admit you’re a hater. Pretty obvious, but I’m glad you actually put it into words.

I find that kinda hard to believe: No doubt it makes you feel warm inside to say that, but some of your positions do reveal (or so it seems to me) underlying hatred.

I think it’s a shame you are so dishonest with yourself that you can;t admit you are human and you have hate.

It goes down to the whole CON v. LIB debate, if you ask me.

Liberals dig for the truth and take a good look at themselves as well as others.

While conservatives just assume they are pure and perfect then proceed to tell others how to think and live their lives.

I admit my wrongs, and point out the failings of my own political party.

When were you so honest? Ever?

I used to say things like:

“I don’t know what is in anyone’s heart.”

    I take it back.

Some people make clear what is in their heart as best they can.

Arrogance and ungodly pride. That’s what is in Flap’s heart. Feel-good nonsense and hatred fuels him up and people like me who state the raw truth minus the spin are the “enemy” because we cut out all the horse crud he makes his mind state out of…

(See that was harsh, but like I’ve said I’m very sick of playing nice with people only mock & scorn. Bullies; why treat bullies the same as nice people?)

“Arrogance and ungodly pride. That’s what is in Flap’s heart.”

You know my heart, you pompous a$$? Talk about arrogant and egotistical…

“I’m very sick of playing nice”

You never played nice. The partisan vitriol, venom, and hatred drips from your fangs, EricG.

“but some of your positions do reveal (or so it seems to me) underlying hatred.”

That’s because to all libs, conservatives are hateful. That’s why your ideology needs work.

  3. Not very clever FLAP!

  7. Alan is going as Dick Cheney!! OMG! Great idea

  8. Don’t cry for me Liberaland … I lost my ability to be Mr. Bipartisan and now I’m just another foaming pissed off American looking unto a cesspool of lies and corruption.

    Woe is I…

I’ll drink a toast to the return of your good spirits, Eric..how’s that?

    flap Reply:

“I lost my ability to be Mr. Bipartisan”

You were never bipartisan. And, by the way, bipartisan isn’t something to be celebrated…you have beliefs and you shouldn’t compromise them.

Now, what you need to work on is logic and sensible thinking. But, then, you’d be a conservative.

    EricG Reply:

    You don’t know me, Flap.

I spent more time defending the nonsense from people like yourself than I have defending liberals in the past.

I was never perfectly bipartisan, but there was a time I was interested in hearing the “conservative perspective”. Now I don’t care because it’s obvious that patriotism has been traded for ignorance and national pride traded for political hatred.

.. by the way, bipartisan isn’t something to be celebrated…you have beliefs and you shouldn’t compromise them.

That’s what the Nazis and the slave drivers and the anti-Civil Rights people thought too. They were wrong and you are wrong about this too. Without compromise their is nothing but tyranny.

Why do you think I call you neo-cons “fascists”? Because of dead serious statements like that. You really think you are anything but a Hitler-loving-monster to try and change everyone in the world into you.

Now, what you need to work on is logic and sensible thinking. But, then, you’d be a conservative.

Just like everything else I hear you spout this is just baloney and feel-good nonsense for conservatives to get off on.

There is no such thing as “common sense” because conservatives like yourself took all meaning out of the phrase by attaching it to your ideological stances and comparing everyone who doesn’t hold your specific ideology as “uncommon” and “nonsensical”.

The real truth of the matter is that the lying from your media-overlords comes down to things like this. You probably really believe that.

    That’s sad. Seriously.

This is why I once sought a Bipartisan Path.

Because liars and huxsters spin the world into a conservatives-only baloney sandwich and there are people (plenty of them) willing to buy into this fantasy.

People should get the truth, not the BS.

But these days the truth is that the GOP and the conservatives have lost their way and become a degenerate party of hate and lies.

    Shame on all you.

I know you from your posts, and you’re nothing but an inflexible liberal blowhard, as of late. Everything to the right of you is pure evil.

“you have beliefs and you shouldn’t compromise them.”

You’re a lot more inflexible than me…so apply the Nazi remarks to yourself, bro.

    From Firedoglake:

“AMSA Med Students Visit Anna Eshoo’s Office”

As part of the nationwide “Treat, Not Trick” effort yesterday, AMSA medical students Connie Chen and Rebecca Mitchell organized a visit to Anna Eshoo’s office in Palo Alto. Eshoo’s biologics legislation is a huge gift to PhRMA that will keep important new cancer drugs from ever becoming affordable generics. Their passionate advocacy on behalf of their patients is really inspirational. Watch the video — it will make even he hardest cynic smile.

As medical student Sha Ali says, the government is already paying money for the research and development of these biologics, so to make the health care system absorb enormous costs for drugs the public already has an interest in is deeply corrupt — and the cost in human life is completely immoral.

  10. Just a small side story that caught my eye…

John Galt, you have competition (not our John Galt;THE John Galt)…

    EricG Reply:

Yikes, that guy from the article is giving a bad name to Psychology right along with his four companions in insanity.

Reddy, who has been married for six years, said that he and his wife Rama both feel that theirs is a happy marriage, blessed with one child. There was no way of verifying this, since his better half had not accompanied him to the Press Club, where he was delivering the speech.

Reddy says he founded the Marriage Research Foundation, along with four other psychologists, and they have been conducting marriage enrichment programs and workshops for pre-marital counseling. He added that he has appealed to the Centre to introduce “marriage education” instead of sex education.

I’m for “divorce education” for young couples thinking of getting married.

How many of these budding young couples will have a child then decide they can’t stand each other?

The Reddy’s of the world are the problem, as far as I see it.

  11. I have been selected for my second Editor’s Pick at Open Salon blogging platform.

    http://open.salon.com/blog/eric_lightborn/2009/10/28/gangland_stabbing_in_my_town

This case underlines the need to be aware of what our children and our friends are doing around us. There is another element I feel I should touch upon as well. There is a possibly that this tragedy was not as strongly related to gang affiliation of any sort, but rather was a case of prideful arrogance boiling into sheer violence on behalf of both parties.

The entire scene of violence could have been avoided if only Tyler had chosen to keep driving and avoid the confrontation itself. It is within reason to assume that this young man is dead because of man-pride and the need to prove yourself right at the end of a fist.

After the shouting, the driver pulled the car onto Myrtle Street, parked and Tenorio and his friends got out. One friend told police he was angry and got out to fight, according to the court document.

I was not present for this event. I can only read news reports and hear what people have to say around town about it. But based on what I know it is a possibility that this senseless death was fueled by the arrogance of the young men in both parties, or it also possible that this was a gangland stabbing that involved a false gang member being stabbed by a real gang member who assumed that other was affiliated.

A professor of mine once told me that if you want to be friends with everybody then there are three things you never discuss:

    Religion, politics and sex.

I always find it funny that most everyone agrees me on many of my points made online … as long as I don’t talk about politics, religion or sex.

I’ve never had any problems talking to someone about sex, though I prefer to do so with wmen I am interested in. It just has to be at at appropriate moment, that’s all….

    LiberalViewer -

.. “The Rachel Maddow Show” analyze how Fox News is different from other media outlets last Friday, I had to agree that Fox News’ help in organizing political protests against the Obama Administration makes Fox something different from news, but I think there’s more to what makes Fox News different as I show in this video.

As usual LiberalViewer on YouTube completely made any case I was going to make for me in regards to the whole Fox-Is-It-News? Debate.

    Lib Patriot Reply:

EricG, appreciate the video. No, Fox is not a normal news organization; it is an active part of the Republican party, making cr*p up to suit themselves and what they WISH was true.
