Right Wing Jumps The Shark With Dontkillgrandma.com

November 4th, 2009, 9:36 PM EST

jump shark smallFreedomworks, the Dick Armey-led group, in conjunction with South Florida Tea party, has launched the unfortunately-named dontkillgrandma.com, perpetuating the myth that Obama and Democrats want to do in our elderly loved ones. Comments on the site show a series of posts by Tenthers, anti-reformers, railers against a government takeover of health care, and other misstatements about just what is being proposed.

Is this the future of the GOP?

  1. That’s the future of ” FOX-CONs-TEABAGGER PARTY”, with all its cheerleaders :
    Rush as head of Uramus
    Palin as a paling
    Hannity as a douchebag
    Fox anchors as Cons-ervants.

  2. I just watched South Park and it occurs to me that Pierre may be on the correct track, and everyone with a brain needs to tell all these rightwing buttheads what real fags they are.

[Obviously I use "fags" in the sense that does not refer to gay or lesbian Americans.]

Whoa, whoa, whoa, why are you immune to political correctness? You homophobe!

Just ignore Rocky, I try to.

Are you saying we can’t trust Oliver Stone anymore? Actually there is nothing wrong with the tenth amendment, and anyone could use the same logic to say that your opposition to Social Security privatization is anti-reform and obstructionist party of “no” schlock. Or someone honestly could say you were philosophically opposed to fundamentally changing a system, same thing applies. Shadowboxing grassroots activists constantly is beginning to look like trying to catch the gremlins who steal your socks in the laundry.

You are correct, there is nothing wrong with the 10th Ammendment.
There is also nothing wrong with the way the Founding Fathers interpreted the Constitution they wrote, after all, to mean the federal government was permitted to have a role in health care.
That is why the Founding Fathers did just that and, among other things, imposed the first health insurance plan in America on private industry.

  4. Right wing wackos should be very careful, because if brain wave activity is a measure of life, most of them would be put to sleep now

  5. I am a Grandma and I can still stand to say, I believe Republican Policies will KILL me off faster than Democratic Policies!

Grandma, grandma, grandma. How long have you been wandering in the wilderness? Open your eyes and see the light. God will lead you to the promised land.

I think grandma’s waiting for God to first lead Daddio into the promised land.

That’s funny, Daddio’s hoping his god (whoever or whatever that may be) whacks grandma.

    Gotta love those republican CINO’s.

I got such a charge reading the comments, on the Amazing Facebook,( by the 20 and 30 years olds), on the subject. They were joking around saying things like, “I am all for killing Grandma.” “Let her go to work for the space program, send her off into outerspace and help future generations.” and more. I laughed so hard. They were joking of course but it let me know what a Bogus Joke this “killing off Grandma” approach, by the GOP, is to them!

Daddio…Is that the best you can do when you are not quoting Rush?

    Debby Reply:

Daddio…that almost sounds like a Right Wing veiled threat!

Conan O’Brian had a great joke during Palin’s “Obama wants to pull the plug on grandma” rant.

He said, “Obama doesn’t want to pull the plug on grandma. Everybody knows he prefers the “pillow over grandma’s face’ approach”.

  6. didn’t the phrase jump the shark, jump the shark a few years ago?

  7. Geeeez Debby, give him a break..sometimes he quotes Beck also

Yeah, I forgot Glen! Could not get back on this until now. Our clutch went out on the Semi and back to the Dealership from the Hotel. I wish, I had my own “Vomitorium” when I heard what We’d be paying! When I reached a certain age and all the ache and pain set in, the only “promised land” I see ahead is Death. Now Daddio may have meant “promised land” in another context. Mixing Religious belief and Politics can lead to many varied interpetations! But just the same, Grandma’s view of Party Policies only matter if Grandma buys the fear Tactics! Just saying…

Anyone know, why when I type in paragraph’s and push sent all sentences come together to form one paragraph? Got to talk to my Granddaughter’s again, so they can help me on the computer.

  8. Conservatives simply want the health insurance companies to keep their monopoly on death panels, that’s all…..
