Tea Partiers Protesting Government Health Care Receive Government Health Care
A GOP-led tea party protest in DC Thursday portrays the participants as out-of-touch, politically ignorant, and infantile. And while they were marching around with signs and banners comparing the effort to provide health care to Hitler’s Holocaust, a number of them had to be medically treated…by government health care.
Many of the demonstrators chanted “Weasel Queen,” their pet name for the speaker of the House. Others wore masks of Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.); they were covered in fake blood and carrying dolls representing aborted fetuses, as the Grim Reaper led them in chains to hell.
In the front of the protest, a sign showed President Obama in white coat, his face painted to look like the Joker. The sign, visible to the lawmakers as they looked into the cameras, carried a plea to “Stop Obamunism.” A few steps farther was the guy holding a sign announcing “Obama takes his orders from the Rothchilds” [sic], accusing Obama of being part of a Jewish plot to introduce the antichrist.

Other signs featured slogans like “Waterboard Congress” and “A Commie is in the House.”
Congresswoman Michele Bachmann was in pig heaven as la grande dame of the event.
…the best of Bachmann’s recruits were a few rows into the crowd, holding aloft a pair of 5-by-8-foot banners proclaiming “National Socialist Healthcare, Dachau, Germany, 1945.” Both banners showed close-up photographs of Holocaust victims, many of them children.
Because they couldn’t get a permit for a demonstration, this sick showing was billed as a “press conference,” even though no questions were taken. Twenty minutes into the event a man suffered a heart attack, quickly attended to by the Capitol physician’s office which delivered oxygen and an IV drip. Thank God for government health care.
This turned into an unwanted visual for the speakers, as a D.C. ambulance and firetruck, lights flashing, pulled in just behind the lawmakers. A path was made through the media section, and the patient, attended to by about 10 government medical personnel, was being wheeled away on a stretcher just as House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) stepped to the microphone. “Join us in defeating Pelosi care!” he exhorted.
[...]
By the time it was over, medics had administered government-run health care to at least five people in the crowd who were stricken as they denounced government-run health care. But Bachmann overlooked this irony as she said farewell to her recruits.
“You,” she said, “are the most beautiful sight any of us freedom fighters have seen for a long time.”

These are just ignorant, ignorant people. I almost feel sorry for them. What fools they are.
Now I have to go into town to get my hair cut and listen to some sound advice from my barber.

I hope the people who received medical attention are presented with a bill. What are they going to do, argue that the government should have provided it for free? Haha!

We don’t know IF the folks who were treated have insurance or not; If they do then I am assuming their insurance companies will be billed as usual.
Still haven’t heard the libs in congress say they are going to have the exact same plan as everyone else. And I never hear Alan gripe about that.

……………………..
I agree, just like Joe Lieberman advocated for in 06;
“What I’m saying to the people of Connecticut, I can do more for you and your families to get something done to make health care affordable, to get universal health insurance,”
Lieberman also pushed for a plan he called “MediChoice,” which would “allow anybody in our country to buy into a national insurance pool like the health insurance pool that we federal employees and Members of Congress have.”…

Nice touch – comparing healthcare to the holocaust. I also found it interesting that John Boner didn’t know the difference between the constitution and the Declaration of Independence.

Yeah, the one thing Hitler was known for is his universal healthcare plan. Auschwitz-Birkenau, Dachau, Bergen-Belsen, Mauthausen, Sobibor, those were just really big hospitals, dontcha know.
These hateful and ignorant people are absolutely disgusting. They make me sick.
Before the paramedics treated them, they should have been asked for proof of private insurance. If they didn’t have any, or if they were on Medicare, they should have been refused treatment on the basis that it would be better for them to die than to live under socialism.
I’m sick and tired of these low-watt dim bulbs.

Actually, that’s not a bad idea, Jasper. I’ll bet if that happened, many of these misguided souls would become advocates for single payer healthcare.

And the po-lice shoulda checked for any outstanding warrants.
Someone shoulda made sure they didn’t have any overdue libarry books, too.
Who knows, they may have been behid on their rent. Better check that, too.

They can’t possibly have overdue library books.
a) Public libraries are socialist
b) Most of ‘em can’t read
c) Books are full of dangerous ideas
d) Don’t need books, already got a book: the Word o’ Gahd.

I’m glad the person who suffered the heart attack was near medical personnel and has most likely had a good outcome from prompt medical care. Let this be a lesson to those hyperbolic conservatives, especially John Galt. You have nothing to fear from govt-hired medical personnel. We love our jobs.

November 6th, 2009 at 1:52 pm
And, of course, the number of those attending was repeatedly exaggerated to no end.
The ~4000 was quickly bumped to 10,000 by the right leaning Politico.
insHannity had to top that so he doubled it to 20,000.
Not to be outdone, a conservative from the Wall Street Journal (if that’s not redundant) claimed it was 50,000.
I hope insanity isn’t contagious.

Ah yes, peaceful people exercising their first amendment rights have to be demonized by leftist trolls who extoll people burning tires, breaking windows, crossing the border illegally, and murdering infants.
Someone who actually kills people because of obvious religious delusions is quickly dismissed as a victim of the mean white religious military-industrial complex who might have been fine if their self esteem was respected, now let’s $hi+ all over everyone else who objects to bankrupting entitlements that are used to unconstitutionally force a state monopolization of utilities. Keep attacking regular people and promoting murderers, perverts, tax cheats, drug addicts, and derelicts. Let the world see what you really believe.

Ah yes, peaceful people …
Like the hundreds of thousands of peaceful people who protested Iraq, who were called traitors and told to “love it or leave it” by right wing “trolls”?
Who is “extolling people burning tires, breaking windows, crossing the border illegally, and murdering infants.”?
And who is “quickly dismissing as a victim someone who actually kills people”, other than our moral betters on the right, who don’t yet know any more about the situation than anyone else?
Do you mean “murderers, perverts, tax cheats, drug addicts, and derelicts” like James Dobson’s Ted Bundy, Son of Sam, and the killers of Dilawar, perverts like;
~ Republican director of the “Young Republican Federation” Nicholas Elizondo molested his 6-year old daughter and was sentenced to six years in prison
~Republican aide Alan David Berlin was arrested on charges that he wanted to engage in sex acts with a 15-year-old boy while dressed in a panda costume
~Republican activist and former presidential campaign chairman Jeffery Claude Bartleson was arrested on charges of sexually molesting a 5-year old boy.
Cheats like Abramoff , Safavian, and Ralph Reed, Drug addicts like Rush Limbaugh, and derelicts like, Dusty Foggo, and duke Cunningham?
Let the world see what you really believe.

I’m sure they’ll sympathize with you. I’m sure they’ll agree with you when you say Dr. Tiller was “human trash”. I’m sure they’ll agree with you that women should be forced into risking their lives by seeking out unqualified practicioners working in unsanitary conditions to terminate a pregnancy that was a result of rape or incest.

Then they come on boards and get shocked when other facts emerge, facts they were unprepared for and which they usually respond to by trying to change the subject or playing shoot-the-messenger.
They keep going back, however, to those same sources which led to their humiliation. In other words, they just can’t stop touching that hot stove….

Have you both had basic high school biology? I’m just curious what your argument is in favor of mid-to-late term abortion. Limbaugh and Malkin don’t feed me my abortion stance…it’s pretty common sense. MURDER = WRONG. Have you seen ultrasounds? Do you know what human life is?
There’s nothing “shocking” I have to discover other than that liberals have this amoral blind spot when it comes to protecting human life in the womb. It’s maddening because it is senseless, immoral, and unexplainable…just like slavery.
But I’m sure you two would have been pro-slavery and told me that there are “nuances” to the slavery issue, right? I mean, it’s obvious that black people are property just as a woman has a right to own her child (and kill it) in utero. Obvious stuff.
Tiller was “human trash,” as is any other Hippocratic Oath taker who butchers late-term unborn children. Did you know abortion is expressly forbidden in the original Hippocratic Oath? That’s not the job of a physician.
“You have a choice, Flap. Nobody’s twisting your arm to post here.”
Why? Are you scared because you can’t give a logically rebuttal to the anti-abortion argument other than “GEORGE BUSH STARTED A WAR!”
I was posting here from the beginning, maybe even before you were. Don’t try to drive me off because you’re scared of conservatives or you’re an anti-conservative bigot.

What a stupid, idiotic remark, but I’m not surprised. Are you scared because you can’t give a logical reason why women shouldn’t be entitled to a safe procedure in a sterile environment performend by qualified physicians?
Actually, I take back what I said about you going to Malkin’s or Linbaugh’s site. I think you should stick around. You’re great comic relief.
In your mind you think your stance on abortion is “reasonable”, so we should compomise to please you? I think not! I think my stance on protecting women is pretty darned reasonable and I think YOU should compomise.
We need more people helping the destitute, starving, homeless post-born than worrying about the pre-born.

“Have you both had basic high school biology?”
………………..
This abortion issue is SO old and tired, but people have got stop acting as though everyone is on the same page, and THEIR opinion is fact.
There are doctors who have way biology than you, who do not subscribe to the “this is a human being like the post born is a human being.
In other words, EVERYONE agrees ; MURDER = WRONG
EVERYONE does NOT agree that ; ABORTION = MURDER
To many people the analogy to slavery is false as you see the analogy to war.
As for mid-to-late term abortion:
EPIDERMOLYSIS BULLOSA, LETHAL ACANTHOLYTIC. lethal osteogenesis imperfecta, , twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome with Maternal Mirror Syndrome, In the case of intrauterine fetal death, there is Severe shoulder dystocia, uterine dehiscence, (where there is already scarring from previous C section), endomyometritis, development of DIC…

“EVERYONE does NOT agree that ; ABORTION = MURDER”
And EVERYONE did NOT agree that blacks are human beings, but that was IDIOCY and the law needed to be changed in a bad way. So YOUR opinion may be that black people are NOT human beings, but it shouldn’t be written into law.
The slavery-abortion analysis is DEAD accurate. Moral issue of the day, half-and-half split, relegating a group of human beings to PROPERTY, and one obvious moral answer.
“intrauterine fetal death”
You’re cutting and pasting from the SAME SOURCE, Oldlefty, that you did a few months ago. Intrauterine fetal death is DEATH of the baby. That’s not a TRUE abortion. That’s evacuating a cadaver, essentially. Are you going to explain to me why the baby needs to be killed instead of delivered? Is there a good reason other than “CHOICE, CHOICE, CHOICE!”?? There ain’t.
I’m amazed how relatively level-headed liberals are so myopic on this issue. Astounds me. But, hey, I’m astounded that Obama got elected…what do I know?

Kinda like torturing people…man, it’s only a few bad guys…stop talking about it! It’s SO OLD AND TIRED, which has no bearing on the actual issue.
Let’s ban 2nd and 3rd trimester abortions, essentially stop the killing, and then many of us will shut up. Until then, we won’t.
The tide is turning…more people don’t see abortion as some sort of privacy right. Nathanson, founder of NARAL. McCorvey, Jane Roe. This recent woman who was head a of Planned Parenthood clinic. This is not an issue that’s just going to go away, as many liberals would love. It’s too immoral.

And not everyone believes that 99.9% of war is necessary, it’s the same thing.
The slavery-abortion analysis is DEAD accurate in YOUR mind as is the war – life analogy is in the minds of others.
Again, once you talk about “property”, you need to examine all the products of menstruation…to ascertain whether or not to issue a death certificate OR to investigate murder, or negligent death…..unless you want to assign a time.
The same source I am cutting and pasting is a list that I got from the doctors in my family and circle of friends ….ALL, even a few otherwise conservatives, stand by the legality.
And those are STILL the reasons for most of Dr Tillers cases.
Just because I’ve listed them before, does not make them less pressing.
As for moral issue, I still am not conv1nced if men got pregnant, many of the most vociferous opponents would not be demanding it in the drive thrus.

“Kinda like torturing people”
First of all, it’s not called torture anymore. It has been renamed by the Bush administration to “enhanced interrogation”.
Second of all, the tide IS turning. This generation is more interested in helping the post-born children rather than thinking of ways to overturn Roe v. Wade, forcing women into seeking out ill performed, potentially fatal back alley abortions.
Sorry toots. You and your “bigoted” kind are a dying breed – I’m happy to say!
