Making the argument on O’Reilly that we don’t know if the tragedy at Fort Hood is an act of terror, refusing to label it “terrorism” because those who do so before the facts are in have an agenda, and accusing the right of shamelessly using the tragedy to bash the president, has engendered these responses:

I am a conservative as well, but would not condone any of those tweets or tonality; nor do I like it from the liberal side either.
I agree with you, we do need all the facts, but there is certainly a lot of red flags that were being raised.
I do believe, conservatives, despite their tonality, do want to protect fellow Americans from any future harm; to the extent that it is preventable.

I have no problem telling someone I disagree with them, or debating them; but I do try to always start a debate or discussion by finding points to which we can agree on; which tends to help bring down barriers.
Sadly, too many start conversations by trying to silence the person who disagrees with them.
Increasingly, it is getting harder to debate things with people who do not look at facts, but rather out their own word view.

I’m sure Alan has very tough skin… He co-hosted with Sean Hannity for 12 years.
That was a really good show because both sides were represented, and there was a good counter-balance.
But again, too many people are only hearing their own worldview being espoused.
I prefer open and “honest” debate.

Alan keeps saying this was the first such attack by an American soldier upon his own fellow soldiers, but a soldier killed 2 and wounded 12 with grenades and a rifle back in 2003.
The killer was Sgt. Hasan Akbar, a Muslim.
There have been 2 unprovoked attacks by American soldiers upon fellow soldiers in recent times. Both were carried out by Muslim American soldiers.
Probably just a coincidence.

Dear God, I am so sorry. I listen to her spout debunked conservative talking points week after week on the McLaughlin Group (Yeah, that show on ‘liberal’ PBS that made Fox look mainstream), and I always end up going “Is She *that* Stupid, or does she think everyone else is?”.
Even Pat Buchanan generally has some factual support for his position, even if cherry-picked. Your Sister-in-Law just spouts stuff that is factually wrong on the face of it.
Ah well, apologies as necessary for bad-mouthing someone you have to sit with at Thanksgiving.
But as log as she keeps not caring about truth, I’ll make my opinion of her known.
