Bachmann May Have Violated House Rules
You’re not supposed to use House franking privileges to promote party or movement-building events, but Michele Bachmann may have violated that rule.
Could be, at least technically. Rep. Michele Bachmann’s House home-page shout-out to tea party types for her Nov. 5 rally on the West Front steps may have violated the letter of the administration committee’s rules on the use of official, taxpayer-funded websites.
[...]
Bullet point No. 3 in the Web “Content” section of the rules says member sites: May not include grass-roots lobbying or solicit support for a member’s position.
That’s why the tea party gathering was called a “press event” rather than a “rally,” although Bachmann’s invitation didn’t make it sound that way:
The people need to make a House Call on Washington this week and tell their Representatives to vote no to a government takeover of one-fifth of our economy. This is gangster government at its worst.”
Besides, there was no press availability at the “press event.”

The republikkkan party has no respect for the rule of law so this is hardly the least bit surprising.

Bachmann is a teabagger; sometimes she enjoys man

i believe it’s also against the rules to walk backwards on the capital steps during the noon hour on every other odd numbered tuesday….
there are much more important things to have rules about than this.

Can anyone say Charlie Rangel? Or how about the several other Democrats under investigation for ethics violations?

Stay on topic, willya Daddio? The topic is “Bachmann May Have Violated House Rules”. It clearly implies the post is about Michelle Bachmann. If Alan wanted to discuss Charlie Rangel or anybody else, he would have dedicated a specific post to it.

Daddio is obviously out to confirm what I keep saying about conservatives. When faced with an issue they can’t handle, they either:
1) try to change the subject
2) play shoot-the-messenger
We see another example of #1.
Perhaps we should start keeping score and see which of the conservatives here dos the most to make my case.
The other thing I keep saying is it takes them a lot longer to learn the things the rest of us pick up quickly and again, it appears daddio is out to prove my case……

Conservative thought process….
lets keep things as they are, maybe the fire will burn itself out of fuel, lets keep things as they are, maybe the fire wont come near me…
OUCHCH (puts out fire)…
few days later,another fire…
lets keep things as they are, maybe the fire will run out of oxygen…
and on and on it goes…

The topic is ethics and many Democrats are now under investigation for ethics violations.
I am on topic.
