Rep. Tom Price Of GA Says That Obama And Holder Have “Disdain” For America

Talking with comedian Nick DiPaulo subbing for Dennis Miller, Georgia Congressman Tom Price says President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder have “a disdain for our form of government.” (h/t Think Progress)
“So, I think you’re right its an absolutely political move and a disdain for our form of government may in fact be in place. I think its an absolute philosophical block on what it has, what it has taken to allow this to be the greatest nation in the history of the world.”
Price has previously had a difficult time even admitting that President Obama …

In the spirit of the season, but also in keeping with Yom Kippur, which occurs in the fall, former President Jimmy Carter asks Jews for forgiveness for any “words and deeds” that may have upset them.
Carter writes in an open letter to the Jewish community this week that he hopes the new year will bring peace between Israel and its neighbors. He says “we must not permit criticisms for improvement to stigmatize Israel.”
He adds: “I offer an Al Het for any words or deeds of mine that may have done so.”
Al Het is a prayer …

A report by the Congressional Research Service says ACORN hasn’t broken any laws in the last give years, but the filmmakers who secretly taped ACORN workers may have violated state law.
The CRS report, however, will give the organization’s backers some comfort and conservatives some ammo. It details that the, the beleaguered community group has received tens of millions of taxpayer dollars in the past several fiscal years — including one $16 million grant and an additional grant worth $7.8 million. Dig it!
It was the night before Christmas, and all through the Senate
the right held up our health care bill, no matter what was in it.
The people had voted a mandated reform
but Republicans blew off the gathering storm.
“We’ll clog up the Senate,” they cried with a grin.
“and in the midterm elections, we’ll get voted in.”
they knew regular folks needed help right this second
but fund-raisers lobbyists and politics beckoned.
So try as they might Democrats could not win
because their majority was simply too thin
Then across every state there rose such a clatter,…

That is the gist of Gary Bauer’s article in the Weekly Standard (h/t RightWingWatch). The one-time Republican presidential candidate frets that we’re too concerned about how Muslims will react when a Muslim commits a crime and by not reacting more strongly we’re just creating more jihadists.
While reports of attacks against Muslim Americans remain low, it is worrisome that attacks by homegrown jihadists have increased. Since 9-11, at least 60 Muslim Americans linked to jihadist groups have been convicted of terrorism and national security charges against American residents.
Yes, Gary we are creating more jihadists by our policies …

“Barry” is President Barack Obama, who phoned in to WTOP to speak to Virginia Governor Tim Kaine. It’s a good thing the call was short, because it was time for “traffic and weather on the 8′s.” This was a planned event, and the only one who didn’t know it was coming was Governor Kaine.

Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, who says with Obama we’ve made “the final leap to socialism,” has benefited from a quarter million dollars in government handouts.
Liberal site Truthdig links to an Environmental Working Group analysis of federal agricultural subsidies and found that the Bachmann family farm, managed by her father-in-law until his recent death, received $251,000 in farm payments between 1995 and 2006.
Bachmann’s financial disclosure forms indicate her stake in the Wisconsin farm is worth up to $250,000. Her income from the farm has grown from $2,000 a year a few years back to …

Blue Dog Democrat-turned red state Republican Parker Griffith says it was the health care bill that made him leave the Democratic Party. Democrats want their money back. As you can see from the chart at left, the plurality of Giffith’s contributions come from the health care industry, but he ‘s also lots of money from the Democratic infrastructure.
Liberals countered that Griffith was essentially a Republican all along, and Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), the chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, said he should give back the money Democrats have contributed to his campaign.
“House Democratic members …

That was the chant in DC after an off-duty police officer, whose car got pelted emerged from the vehicle with a gun drawn.
“Yes I did (pull my gun), because I got hit with snowballs!” the cop said in a video of the confrontation posted to YouTube by a witness…
Witnesses said the detective’s big red Hummer was hit about 3 p.m. at the major intersection of 14th and U Streets, where a mass snowball fight organized over Twitter and Facebook was raging.
