Mike Parry, a Republican candidate for state senate in Minnesota, deleted 43 Tweets after progressives on the site researched what he’d been doing there (h/t Think Progress).  And what he’d be doing was posting content that was both racist and homophobic.


When the New York Times published an editorial on Congress passing the Matthew Shepard Act, which expanded hate crimes to include sexual orientation, Parry continued his bigotry:



Parry describes himself as “pro-life, a Christian, a second amendment rights supporter, a hard worker and not politically correct.”
