Sarah Palin, who called for White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel to be fired for calling liberal activists “f-ing retards,” is rebuking Rush Limbaugh for using the word as well.
“Our political correct society is acting like some giant insult’s taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards,” Rush said, adding that Rahm’s meeting yesterday with advocates for the mentally handicapped was a “retard summit at the White House.”
Palin’s spokesperson, Meghan Stapleton, told Greg Sargent at Plumline: “Governor Palin believes crude and demeaning name calling at the expense of others is disrespectful.” Limbaugh had claimed that Sarah Palin, “a life-long listener” of his program, would never denounce him for what he said, because all he’s doing is “highlighting these people who say this kind of stuff.”
