Limbaugh To 11-Year-Old Child: “Your Mom Would Have Still Died.”
The New York Times recently ran a report about 11-year-old Marcelas Owens’s appearance at a March press conference with Senate Democrats where he spoke about his mother’s death. (Marcelas is pictured here with Washington Senator Patty Murray)
Tiffany Owens, died of pulmonary hypertension in 2007 at age 27 after losing her health insurance because she could no longer work. Ms. Owens had been an assistant manager at a Jack in the Box restaurant.
The very next day, on March 12, Rush Limbaugh played a clip of the event on his radio program, then stated:
“Now, this is unseemly, exploitative, an 11-year-old kid being forced to tell this story all over just to benefit the Democrat Party and Barack Obama. . . . Your mom would have still died, because Obamacare doesn’t kick in until 2014.”
Not only is this pure speculation on his part, but it falls right in line with Rush’s status quo of bringing the hate where few others will dare venture. Even so, picking on small children who are suffering from a loss is a dirty new low, even for Mr. Limbaugh.
