Born John Mastrangelo, he had a big hit with “Sixteen Candles” when he led The Crests. Later on he formed the Brooklyn Bridge which had a huge hit with Jimmy Webb’s “The Worst That Could Happen” Maestro passed away in Florida at age 70.
