“Attention Walmart Customers: All Black People Leave The Store Now”

Someone got hold of the public address system at a Washington Township, New Jersey Walmart store Sunday night and asked “all black people” to leave the store. (via Oliver Willis).

Company spokeswoman Ashley Hardie says the incident was “unacceptable.” The retailer is looking to prevent it from happening in the future.

Washington Township police and the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office also are investigating.

Management apologized, although it’s unclear how someone got possession of the public address system.…

Kucinich Flips To “Yes” On Health Care Bill

Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich, who just last week told me he would vote “no” on the health care bill because it does not contain a public option, now says he’ll vote “yes.”  Kucinich said last week he had not been lobbied by the president, but that changed this week.  The former Cleveland mayor and presidential candidate says the president did a good sales job.

“I take this vote with the utmost seriousness,” Kucinich said. “My criticism of the legislation has been well reported. … I have doubts about the bill. This is not the bill I wanted to support.”…

Hawaii Considering Bill To Ignore Birthers

Hawaii continues to be bombarded with requests from birthers wanting to verify that President Obama was born there, so the legislature would like to make it so they don’t have to answer every ridiculous request. Attorney General Eric Holder stood up for the Constitution before a House appropriations subcommittee hearing, making the point that all murder defendants get the same treatment.
