No One Was Aiming For Eric Cantor’s Office After All

House Minority Whip Eric Cantor was shameless in his effort to use a news conference to publicize being a victim of violence while condemning Democrats for going public about being victims of violence.  However, as it turns out, Cantor was not a target as he portrayed himself to be. Cantor blamed Democrats for “dangerously fanning the flames” of violence by publicizing threats just as he was doing the same thing. The only difference is, the threats against the Democrats was real and his wasn’t.

DNC Proposes “Joint Civility Statement” – RNC Refuses

The Democratic National Convention proposed a “civility” statement for the RNC to sign in good faith.  They have refused, according to POLITICO.

Republicans see the statement as an attempt to force them to either reject the statement – allowing Democrats to say the RNC finds the incidents acceptable – or to sign on to something that the DNC would later wield against them.

The proposed statement was faxed and hand-delivered to the RNC at midmorning Friday. POLITICO learned Friday afternoon that the RNC would not sign the DNC statement.

Man Enraged By Obama Bumper Sticker Rams His SUV Into Car

Harry Weisiger of Nashville was so furious at seeing a Barack Obama bumper sticker he plowed his SUV into the car displaying it, where a 10-year-old girl was inside. (h/t CrooksAndLiars)

Mark Duren told News 2 the incident happened around 4:30p.m., while he was driving on Blair Boulevard, not far from Belmont University.

He said Harry Weisiger gave him the bird and rammed into his vehicle, after noticing an Obama-Biden sticker on his car bumper.

Here comes the hypocrisy card again: Michael Vanderboegh, the Tea Party leader and former militiaman who is calling for an armed march on Washington for April 19, and who urged people to break Democrat party office windows, is on government disability!

President Obama Announces US-Russia Agreement On Nuclear Arms Reduction

President Obama and Russian President Dmitri Medvedev have agreed to a significant reduction in strategic missiles during a Friday morning phone call.

The treaty, which must still be ratified in the U.S. Senate and in Russia, would replace a 19-year-old pact that called for both countries to draw down their dangerous arsenals of thousands of long-range nuclear weapons.
