The Republican Party continues to flounder in its attempt to be anything other than a party of white men. The Medina (Ohio) County Republican Party put out a newsletter urging defeat of Congresswoman Betty Sutton by saying, “Let’s take Betty Sutton out of the House and put her back in the kitchen.” (h/t Think Progress)
This is reminiscent of when Republicans asked that General Stanley McChrystal, in dealing with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, “put her in her place.”
