Nebraska’s Ben Nelson, who votes often with Republicans, is pushing back against speculation that he might change parties if Republicans win the Senate in November.  (h/t Political Wire).  Joe Klein suggested that with big Republican fall wins, he could be up for grabs.

Asked for comment, however, Nelson’s office “stressed that the senator remains a committed Democrat who, despite bucking the party on a host of political fronts (most recently, Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan’s confirmation), is not interested in a party switch.”
