Bristol Palin Strips While Wearing A Monkey Suit On DWTS

The dancing was to TV themes. The theme song they chose was “The Monkees,” hence, monkey suits. Really, was this necessary?

As Linda McMahon tries to become the next Republican senator from Connecticut, Phil Mushnick in the New York Post explains the sordid underbelly of the McMahons’ wresting empire. Mushnick refers to the WWE as a “drug-infused death mill.” For example, he writes, their wrestlers didn’t perform in Oregon because the state requires drug testing.
According to ex-McMahon employees, wannabe wrestlers often were told that they’re “too small,” thus — wink, wink — they should, “Go see the doctor.” See the doctor became a sick, inside gag.
The WWE’s drug policy has changed with the wind. After TV ringside physician, …

It’s hard to keep track of all Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle’s nutty comments and views, but Jon Ralston of the Las Vegas Sun has done a yeoman’s job. Speaking to Rancho High School’s Hispanic children, Angle insisted some of them looked “a little more Asian.”
“So that’s what we want is a secure and sovereign nation and, you know, I don’t know that all of you are Latino. Some of you look a little more Asian to me. I don’t know that. [Note: it's the Hispanic Student Union. The whole room is Hispanic teenagers.] What we know, what we …

Georgia state Rep. John Yates says troops on the border should “shoot to kill” illegal immigrants crossing the border, and he stood by those comments in an interview on Atlanta’s Fox 5. (h/t Think Progress)
Yates likened illegal immigrants to enemies of the country.
“Stopping Hitler was worth the price,” Yates said. “It’s our border, they’re invading us.”

by Sandi Behrns
One could argue that it’s nothing more than political opportunism on Sarah Palin’s part: quite late in the game, just as polls started to show the race getting close, Palin swooped in to endorse newbie GOP candidate Ruth McClung in Arizona’s 7th. It’s a natural endorsement on its face. McClung is a Tea Party darling, just like Palin. The hesitation comes from those who would accuse Palin of attempting to protect her win-loss record by only endorsing viable candidates. Whatever the case, it remains to be seen whether Mrs. Palin’s endorsement will prove to be a …

Security guards for Alaska’s GOP Senate candidate Joe Miller, who doesn’t want journalists asking questions about his past, handcuffed and detained Tony Hopfinger of the political blog Alaska Dispatch when Hopfinger tried to interview Miller.
(h/t Political Wire)
Hopfinger, who was holding a small video camera, said he was attempting to draw out a statement from Miller on why he was disciplined by the Fairbanks North Star Borough when Miller worked there as a part-time attorney.
So much for freedom of the press. As the Anchorage Daily News reports:
One of the guards grabbed Hopfinger’s video camera. Later, Hopfinger said that when …

CNN is reporting that Osama bin Laden and his deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri are living in separate safe houses near each other in northwest Pakistan, according to a senior NATO official said. The are allegedly being protected by Pakistani intelligence services, which denies this.
The official said the general region where bin Laden is likely to have moved around in recent years ranges from the mountainous Chitral area in the far northwest near the Chinese border, to the Kurram Valley which neighbors Afghanistan’s Tora Bora, one of the Taliban strongholds during the U.S. invasion in 2001.
Bin Laden and al-zawahiri are …

South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham found an innovative way to call Obama a socialist on “Face the Nation.”
“Most Democrats in swing states are running against Nancy Pelosi and against the Obama takeover of most of society,” Graham said. The South Carolina Republican predicted that there will be more bipartisanship in 2011, particularly on extending the Bush-era tax cuts.
Notice that “bipartisanship” mean Democrats agreeing with Republicans. It’s unclear just how the president is taking over society, but perhaps one day Republicans will be able to explain just what makes the president a socialist.…

President Obama, speaking at Ohio State, told the crowd that with the frustration people have with the economy, Republicans count on voters “forgetting who caused the mess in the first place.”
The president acknowledged there are people “hanging by a thread,” but said Republicans have only offered the “philosophy that nearly destroyed our economy.” He encouraged Ohio voters to tell the GOP they don’t want to go back to those principles.
Conservatives will bitch and moan that he is “blaming Bush” and the Republicans. But where is he wrong?…

Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday” challenged California Republican Senate Candidate Carly Fiorina to say how she’d pay for tax cuts she touts and help close the budget deficit. Fiorina responded by accusing Wallace of “asking a typical political question.” (h/t Mediaite)
WALLACE: So Ms. Fiorina let me ask you a specific question, because I still haven’t gotten many specifics from you….as a non-career politician, as the anti-Barbara Boxer, you tell me specifically what are you going to do to cut the billions, the trillions, of dollars in entitlements?”
FIORINA: See, Chris, I have to — you …
