Donny Deutsch Explains Sarah Palin: She’s An Older Generation Snooki

palin_snooki-300x201

Donny Deutsch put it in terms any student of pop culture can understand: Sarah Palin is Snooki for a different demographic (via Mediaite).

“Why the fascination (with Sarah Palin)? It’s very simple and I’m not going to be glib here. She is Snooki. It’s the same math. A younger generation they want to watch this character with big character with big hair who’s funny…you don’t know she’s going to say. It’s no different but for a higher demographic! We watch her she’s interesting looking..whats she going to say? She’s campy, she’s kitschy, it’s telegenic, its television, its entertaining that’s the …

Obama Approval Rating Up To 54%

images2

President Obama has registered his highest approval ratings in a year and a higher number than Bill Clinton had at this point in his presidency.

Fifty-four percent now approve of Obama’s job performance, up 5 points from last month and 8 points above his career low in September. And given overwhelming approval of his response to the Tucson attack, Americans by an 18-point margin, 58-40 percent, say Obama “understands the problems of people like you.” That’s up from a mere 2-point split, 50-48 percent, in September.

Thirty-five percent say Obama is making the economy better, versus 24 percent who say …

50th Anniversary Of Ike’s “Military-Industrial Complex” Speech

dwight-d-eisenhower-circa1956

By Yashwanth Manjunath

In an astounding coincidence, Martin Luther King day is also the 50th anniversary of Dwight D. Eisenhower’s famous “Military-Industrial Complex” speech as he bid farewell to the country. Eisenhower choose that moment, as an outgoing Republican president and former general, to warn the country about the influence of special interests that profit from war.

Eisenhower, like Dr. King, was a man of peace and he understood the dangers of large corporations having a financial incentive to drive American foreign policy in a more militaristic direction. Unfortunately, 50 years later it could not be more clear that our …

Poor Sarah Palin Has Been Mistreated By The Liberals And The Media

Picture-418

Sarah Palin, appearing with Sean Hannity in her first post “blood libel” video interview, failed to mention the name Gabrielle Giffords or to mention six people who died and others who were wounded. She did, however, say that the left will do anything to stop her because they don’t like her message and that by stopping her ability to speak America will be destroyed. She did, on more than one occasion, use the phrase, “it’s not all about me.”

Palin made sure to give the proper definition of “blood libel,” mentioning that the phrase had been used in the Wall

Dick Cheney Still Believes Obama Will Be A One-Term President

dick-cheny-podiumjpg-82f6db0bc1043e4b-300x225

Former Vice President Dick Cheney tells NBC’s Jamie Gangel he believes Obama will be a one-term president.

I think his overall approach to expanding the size of government, expanding the deficit, and giving more and more authority and power to the government over the private sector is a lack of– sort of a feel for the role of the private sector in– in creating jobs, in creating wealth and getting our economy back on track. Those are all weaknesses, as I look at Barack Obama. And I think he’ll be a one term President.

On the Arizona tragedy:

I’m reluctant …

Michael Reagan Celebrates MLK Day By Saying His Dad “More Of A Friend To Blacks” Than Obama

full_1292011993clinton-obama

Michael Reagan has an op-ed piece at Foxnews.com, where he first says he could make a better case for his dad being “the first black president” than the case Toni Morrison made for Bill Clinton, but that out of respect for African-Americans and there being an actual black president, he won’t. Of course, this begs the question: Why bring it up? Reagan goes on to say:

Ronald Reagan was a far better friend to black Americans than Barack Obama has been. Just compare the Reagan and Obama records. Under Obama, black unemployment rose from 12.6 percent in January 2009 to …

John McCain Reminds Us Of His Nobler Instincts

john-mccain-barack-obama

by Stuart Shapiro

Sen. John McCain’s op-ed in Sunday’s Washington Post praised President Obama’s speech in Tucson last week.

President Obama gave a terrific speech Wednesday night. He movingly mourned and honored the victims of Saturday’s senseless atrocity outside Tucson, comforted and inspired the country, and encouraged those of us who have the privilege of serving America. He encouraged every American who participates in our political debates – whether we are on the left or right or in the media – to aspire to a more generous appreciation of one another and a more modest one of ourselves.

As Steve

Martin Luther King III: His Father’s Message Needed Now More Than Ever

martin-luther-king-iii

Martin Luther King III (pictured) says the need for his father’s message is underscored by the Arizona tragedy.

Martin Luther King III, president and chief executive officer of The King Center, was to deliver the keynote address at the annual holiday observance, held at Ebenezer Baptist Church, where his father preached from 1960 until his death in 1968.

He has linked the holiday honoring the winner of the 1964 Nobel Peace Prize winner to the shootings in Tucson, Ariz., which left six dead and Giffords fighting for her life.

King would have been 82 on Jan. 15. Members of the …
