Madison, WI Police Chief Noble Wray is concerned about a comment made by Governor Scott Walker during the prank phone call that was from a David Koch impostor.

Caller: “What we were thinking about the crowds was planting some troublemakers.

Governor: “We thought about that. The problem, or my only gut reaction, to that would be right now the lawmakers I talked to have just completely had it with them. The public is not really fond of this. The teachers union did some polling and focus groups, I think, and found out that the public turned on them the minute they closed school down for a couple days.”

Police Chief Wray says he wants to learn more about what the governor was thinking

“I find it very unsettling and troubling that anyone would consider creating safety risks for our citizens and law enforcement officers. Our department works hard dialoging with those who are exercising their First Amendment right, those from both sides of the issue, to make sure we are doing everything we can to ensure they can demonstrate safely. I am concerned that anyone would try to undermine these relationships.”
