Prosser Declared Winner In Wisconsin Court Race After Clerical Error Had Kloppenberg Ahead

Shortly after everyone thought the votes were all counted and Democrat JoAnn Kloppenberg had a 204 vote lead, Waukesha County clerk Kathy Nicholaus found that she forgot to save 14,000 votes on her computer. As a result, 7500 votes went to incumbent conservative David Prosser. Nicholaus worked for Prosser in the mid-90′s in the state assembly leading Democrats to call for her resignation. Final tallies have been done and Prosser gets to keep his seat, having amassed a 7,316 vote margin.
